Hiya,
I have been fortunate (unfortunate) enough to get double 5s for both my vamps first skills...whatta the odds?
Thanks to the Vamps having access to S, G and A, I can pretty much take anything apart from passing traits...so I need suggestions dear people, cause the options are endless...and did I mention +MA in the mix as well?
I am leaning towards Stand Firm, to turn both into dodgers. 7 MA would give them a much needed boost getting to the TL, but I'm not sure I want to outrun my Thralls.
Suggestions would be welcome.
Cheers,

Tough decision ... the extra ma is very useful on any team that has mv6 all round. Comes in handy when you need to get in position to blitz opposing players. On the other hand, there are all sorts of other skills that come in real handy. I'd quite likely take the +ma on one of them, if not both...
Another skill to consider is pass - fills a gap that vamps are kind of lacking -- in fact, anything that saves on re-rolls is real handy, so there are plenty of choices |

Although +MA would seem more of an sensible choice, my attraction to SF is great. I'd say stand firm. |

I'd only take +MV on a roll of 6-4 or 4-6. On the 5-5 I'd take either standfirm or frenzy. Since I am a big fan of crowd pushing, I'd probably opt for frenzy this time and standfirm on the next double.
EDIT: Pass is a waste imho, as you might as well burn a regular team re-roll on a bad pass. If you want to increase your passing skills, you should rather take accurate, which reduces the fumble risk on long passes and long bombs. |

Damn...Pass? Accurate?
OMG this is all getting too much
The argument for +MA is strong....and I may get another double later in the piece to get SF or Frenzy. Accurate...hmmm, dunno about that, it'd be pretty cool though. 4AG with accurate'd mean a 2+ short pass.
Jump Up? Vamps that you can't knock down...
Oh, I don't know.

Vampires should just take all reroll-saving skills they can get, cause you need rerolls for OFAB...
This includes block-dodge-stand firm-pass-pro
Do NOT indulge in skills which let you roll more, like Frenzy or Leap (yes, I've seen leaping vamps). This would be a mistake imho.
If you start thinking this way, you can really choose almost any skill with your 5+5, and it won't be a waste. |

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming, I'll probably go with the majority.
At the moment, +MA and Pass, SF and Pass, and +MA and SF are most likely.

EDIT: And just to show how special Nuffle can be, my Aging rolls happened to be 5,5 and 4,6.... |

I definitley agree with the leap thing since Vampires can take that anyway |

Id go for MA, you need speed.
Besides, there are 3/36 to roll 10, but 12/36 to roll dubble, or if you like:
1/12 +MA
1/3 dubble.
Otherwise I agree with what others have said, take skills that saves you from using RRs. And yes, Jump Up is great.
EDITED: Of course its 6/36 or 1/6 for a dubble. (too much work and famliy. ) |

wow so many possibilities, I don't envy you in this difficult choice.
Personally, blodge sf 4ag 4st sounds too good to pass up....I'd take SF on both. dodging without any concern for failure is REALLY nice...and with hypnotic gaze...your vampires will go where ever they choose to...much to the dismay of the opposition. |
