Okay, my question is as follows. Does a player using diving tackle loose his own TZ in that dodge when he goes prone?

When using diving tackle the dodging player gets a -2 modifier to his dodge roll (or a +2 target, wich amounts to the same thing). What happens, if the dodging player dodges from one tacklezone to another TZ, from the same player.

......
..X0. "0" dodges from here.
......

......
..X.. To here.
..0..

Assuming it is an AG 4 elf, the target number to dodge is "3". The dodging elf rolls a "4" and makes it, but wait, X has diving tackle and uses it, and makes the target "5" thereby making him fail.

OR

Does the diving tackler loose his own tacklezone when using diving tackle? hence making the target 2+2 = 4, and the elf still makes it?

Good question, i'm gonna
- search into the rulebook right away,
- read the differences from rulebook in skijunkie javabbowl,
- verify myself with skijunkie javabbowl.

It doesn't.

The roll in the example above is 5+

Yarr, JanMattys speaks the truth.

You use the skill after the dice is rolled, thus the "going prone" has no effect on the action itself.

Another question concerning diving tackle:
Can a player who actually suffers from a failed bonehead roll, use diving tackle when an adjacent player dodges away from another teammate?
