yeah im quite nervous, was expecting Ireland to be playing better, the scrum half is new and wasted some good lineout ball, bvut did make up for it with a try. Italy have surprised me as I had thought of them as a purely physical team, but they are playing the type of rugby Ireland had hoped to be playing!
Im never the optimist when it comes to Irish rugby (ask mr__wizard !) as I believe they will get slapped every match, but somehow we do OK, Stringer is a massive liability, dont know much about Tommy Bowe but Murphy, O'Driscoll and D'Arcy are up there with the very best, if only we had a good scrum half we would be a real force!
PS: anyone else get really annoyed with Jeremy Guscot? Argh that guy really annoys me! But tend not to watch BBC, but the Irish channel RTE as the panel are slighly less one sided to England |

I like that thinking, suprised to see Englands best player back, and still voting for Wales!
But France will likely win it, England/Ireland is tough, then its a scrap between Scotland/Wales/Italy
***Edit***
Slighly less nervy now, just gone 20-13 ahead |

yay, scrappy 26 - 16 win, France next week will be pretty tough... hopefully a bit more team bonding in the next week will allow the backs to actually do something productive; O'Connell was huge as ever. |

Ooo: Italy beaten by a dodgy try! (And there was a late extra penalty, okay.) I can feel Jan's rage from here ...
Anyway, nice appetiser, on to the day's main course! |

Hehe, I have to admit Im going to be cheering the Welsh this afternoon from work, blame it on Jeremy Guscott and the Pro England commentators! poor Jonathon Davies can never get a word in!
Ireland were pretty awful, but were heavily beated in the Autumn Internationals, and slapped about by NZ things can only get better at the minute! |
