Hi,
Because of new interests besides JBB I have decided to release JBBR 2 Alpha 1.2 in public to anyone who liked the original JBBR. I know, the old replayer has issues with new replay files (naming) but this one should not.
The link below only contains binary release BUT if any competent Java coder wants to continue what I started, I am willing to release full source as well. There's many issues that I wanted to implement but as I said above new things are taking my full attention and thus I doubt that I will never be able to do so.
This version has been tested on Windows, Linux and OS X (mac) and should work fine with all of them. JRE 1.4 or newer is required.
Binary release:
http://personal.inet.fi/cool/mtu/jbbr2/download/alpha1/alpha1.zip
Source code:
http://personal.inet.fi/cool/mtu/jbbr2/download/alpha1/alpha1_src.zip
For information, how to build jbbr, check my reply to this message thread.
Check the installation and features below.
If you encounter any bugs or have any requests conserning JBBR2, please send them as replies to this message and maybe (slight chance) they will be fixed and/or answered in the future.
I would also like to thank all the beta testers who helped me in testing this release on different OSes and my special thanks goes to my fellow implementor Barnlato, who redesigned the UI and made the new graphics that I think look really great! He also had many great ideas that you can see alive in this release. Thanks Barnlato and keep up the good work!
-Rynkky
ps. Have fun!
Installation
Unzip preserving folder names. Make sure you have JRE 1.4 or newer installed.
Running
If you have .jar files configured properly, double clicking jbbr.jar should launch
JBBR.
If you want to run from command prompt, change directory to where jbbr.jar is located
and type: java -jar jbbr.jar
Usage
Web button opens web open dialog, where you can browse and download match files directly from FUMBBL.com.
Open button opens file open dialog for opening match files from local system.
If you have wheel mouse, you can disable/enable tacklezones by rolling mouse wheel up, or change score bar to top or bottom by rolling mouse wheel down. This feature is just for testing realtime settings system and in final release wheel will be used for modifying replay speed. |

I absolutely love the interface. Is there any chance you could talk SkiJunkie into adopting the same visual style? |

Check \jbbr\cache\settings\variable.ini. You can find Sound=on there, change it to Sound=off and voi'la sounds disabled. Other settings available there:
[MAINFRAME]
TopViewOnTop=[true/false] if true, score view will be above field, otherwise below.
[PLAYERVIEW]
Mirrored=[true/false] if true, skills&player data will be mirrored (swapped horizontaly)
[FIELD]
ColoredTackleZoneAlpha=[0..1.0] Alpha value for tacklezones. 0 = totally transparent, 1 fully opaque.
ShowTackleZones=[true/false] true = show, false = hide tacklezones
ColoredTackleZone=[true/no] true = colored, false = numbers only
FieldSet=[name] name of the fieldset to use, points to \data\gfx\field\fieldsets and contains just the fieldset directory name. In Alpha1 release there's 3 fieldsets classic, jade and peser, jade being the default.
[PROXY]
ProxyHost=[proxy host ip] ip of proxy server
ProxyPort=[proxy port] port of proxy server
UseProxy=[true/false] if true, uses proxy, if false doesn't use |

This is really odd. I was thinking that maybe someone could host the file as well? I am using my ISP's webspace that came with my connection contract and I am able to download and unzip the file from three different machines at least. One at work and two at home, so it should be ok.
If anyone who succeeded to download and unzip it could help with hosting? |
