My team just finished a game and got 2 Linemen their first advances.
One got a Double, the other didn't. What skills are best? |

I would go for guard on the double. It may be risky, but they really, really need some guard.
For the regular one I would go for block or dodge. Classic, and good. |

Agreed.
Always Guard on first double on Lineelves.
I go with Block first on regular skills. Some go with Dodge. A matter of taste really. You wanna block your opponent or dodge away from them?
Then one Lino should get Kick, and some might say Dirty Player. Depends on your playing style.
I'd go with Guard and Block in your case. But your team REALLY lacks ReRolls. Buy them as soon as possible. At least 3 of them. |

Check out: http://fumbbl.com/skills.php
Despite being a while since it was updated, it is an ecxellent resource if you're not sure what skills to take. In general, the most popular skill choices are fairly good ones.
It's also linked through the help pages:

Guard or Dauntless and Kick or Strip Ball. That's the weird alternative, trying to win instead of developing a valanced team

No it doesn t. You should always have one at least to be equal to team with one... the first used of a DP is to avoid being fouled yourself. |

It's like the policy of deterrence during the cold war. |

Actually, here on Fumbbl the first use of a DP is to avoid being played by 80% of coaches*. Apparently.
*Though, technically, since those 80% of coaches won't be fouling you (as they will run sobbing from any proposed match), I guess it does help you to avoid being fouled. By certain people. Sort of. |

Actually, block does help you win. You get to down people without it and you won't use as much rerolls. |
