last night a mummy did a perfect larson against me. i ound out part way through the match he had got a larson in his previous game.
i really really wanted to kill that mummy |
as you might be aware I have Larsonitis (ie if I get an INT I go all out to get the guy/gal what (s)he deserves a LARSON) - but back to back with a Mummy is incredible I quake with envy

why is a mini larson comp/td/cas ? int is so much better your ogre should get a mini larson! |
My point is that this Ogre's accomplishment is far more impressive than a mere mini larson, but inferior to a Larson, hence, a super mini Larson. |

That should just be called a good game. Larsons and Perfect Larsons are special, no need to diminish the terms.

Thread necromancy indeed. Since this discussion started over 18 months ago, I wonder if much of anyone really cares?
However, it's absurd to argue who was first, since I'm sure there were hundreds, probably thousands of TT players who've achieved this long before. To pretend that we, here, have some sort of monopoly on records is as laughable as trying to legislate what slang we use.
I'd say stick to something more universally recognizable, something closer to what the author of this thread used- a "Cycle" or a "Big Four". And I say "Four" since for every dozen or more of those only one gets the completely random MVP, and while unusual, that's hardly something to brag about or claim credit for. :P
Cycle, Full Cycle. Big Four, Big Five. (And stop trying to force language.) |

'Cycle'? 'Big Four'? I hardly think any of those are about to replace the (well-established and much snappier) Larson.

As Lord Splutticus mentioned a long time ago, Larson was the first one who was recordes to hit the cycle. Without him no one would search for a "larson" |

I instantly thought of Barry Bonds, when I read "Hitting the Cycle." Hes done it both on the field and OFF! Go Bar-riod Bonds! Woot, WOOOT! |
