DL: I imagine the first person will be first, the second second and so on...
Glutton: Watch the cricket, setup a tv so u can watch and bloodbowl. It is your national duty and the reason for the boxing day public holiday. |

If coach-race inversion clearly gets up, I'm thinking coach win percentage as the raw number, and I'll take devaition into account. I have a spread table on how good the races are, and will reverse that off the spread of the coach rating. Example - If we get four coaches, ratings 52%,51% 47% and 46%, we will get middle of the races list teams like humans. If we get 76%,60%,41%,35% we will get CD, Amazons, halflings and goblins.
The coach spread will come off their profile stats, the race spread has come of the racial win stats.
If dynamite and coach-race inversion keep even on the poll, same game, with only the four dynamite teams and limited choices for top coaches. |

Nope sorry cant make myself do it, used to like the criket when Border was skipper when I was a young fella but Tubby & Steve just irritated me to much, Ponting is great liked him from his entrance to 1 day but I have no patience for tests...I can barely tolerate 1 dayers now. |

You're assuming that my coach rank indicates my prowess on the BB board...
What it does say is that I play hard races vs soft teams played by n00b coaches...
My CR actually went as high as 175 until I suffered an embarrassing Fumbbl Cup defeat... but I am "picking" it up again |

I like the idea of doinga low rank spread...a fun tourney with some of the more bemusedly challenging races. Leave all the angst behind and have some fun with something a little different! I'm going to have to go dig out the Old Gaffer's I think!
Win % is a good way to rank people. CR is pretty prone to localised cherrypicking or recent tourney perturbations.
btw - how did you sort high and low rank races? |

i'm guessing it was done on win % -- which you can get fumbbl wide via the statistics link. |

Laviak for the win. And also, if by some co-incidence, someone has a artificially high CR through cherrypicking, they get a worse race. Who exactly is suffering here? |

I declared I'd be making my mind up on the 15th. If it stays this close, I'll prob pm all responding coaches for a last pick between coach-race inversion, dynamite freepick, or coach race inversion dynamite. I hope that sentence made sense. |

I think I will declare a tie between Dynamite and Coach-Race inversion.
Rule One: Below 155Cr you may pick any Dynamite race (Vamps, Ogres, Goblins, Halflings), above CR 155 you may pick any Dynamite race except Vampires.
Rule Two - Be ready You should have yourTR 100 team ready approved.
Rule Three - Everything in the client is legal i.e. Stars, Wizards etc. All Handicaps are legal.
Rule Four - Don't be late - I will be in the SWL channel 9am 26thDecember 2006 to set up the tourney for a 10am start. From there I will create a channel (or ask an admin if it is okay to use tinshed) and we will set up the tourney. Tourney type will depend on numbers, round robin if we have only a few, multiple round robins with a final if we have many.
PM me if you have any more questions. I hope to see you there. |
