But porn is all about it being quick and easy. Putting in a barrier (using a second website other than the fringe page) will be extremely inconvienent |

Oh, hey, don't be like that.
I just think that it would send out a good message to newbies.
Kind of like "Hi, welcome to the fold, here's some European Hardcore" |

I dont think the ban came out of the blue as some of the admins have been cracking down on the 4x4 talk in channel. The way I see it is that with people continually talking about it despite been asked not to, it was only a matter of time before this happened.
Now im not having a go at anyone here, but perhaps an easier way of working this out earlier on maybe was to help those that wish to play 4v4 set up their own channel as to keep it out of main chat. Then this would of never happened and if someone did come in looking for a 4x4 game then they could of been pointed to the proper channel. |

The impression that I got last night was that OB didn't even want to allow people to use Bob for 4v4, but that may have been because he was worked up or I may have misinterpreted it. |
I was the one actually the one who suggested using tinshed, just to prove I have no problem with bob being used for it. just not in #swl. |

It's fair to assume that you'll have much less luck finding a 4vs4 game if you aren't permitted to look for it on SWL unfortunately. Probably what you need to do is post the occasional "looking for a 4vs4 game, join #tinshed if you're interested" in SWL and hope OB can restrain himself from banning you. |

I'm another one of those people that find it very unfair that people are being banned for talking about 4x4 when other things (non SWL League) are talked about all the time. The prime suspect there being BATTRICK, by god I hate that thing, I would like to trap some rats under a upturned metal bucket on the belly of everyone who talks about it, then slowly heat the bucket. In fact, masturbating with a cheesegrater would be more fun than hearing anything about that godforsaken grey matter destroying physically debilitating game called Battrick. You don't hear most of us complainging about that, or about the possibility that anyone visiting SWL will think we are all cricket bat weilding maniacs. For some arbitary reason, Battrick is accepted, but people trying to play a friendly and fast game of 4x4 get banned.
Not many fringe games are played because fringe no longer has the importance it once had, ie building a team up ready for playing in the real league. But anything that attracts Oz timezone based people to the SWL channel, will help get more fringe games played.
By banning talk of any variant of bloodbowl supported by the fumbbl client, in the chat channel that most oz timezone based people use, you are directly influencing other peoples ability to have fun, and you are also stopping more people being in the channel to play the variants of bloodbowl that YOU wish to play. |

I agree Quod, but according to the admins they aren't interested in the sort of players attracted by 4vs4, and seem comfortable ignoring the fact that most of those playing it are currently the most active members you will find in SWL. |

Quod, the battrick people have been "batted" into submission (get it! Ha HA!) and I will similarly express the "enoughs enough" view when it gets to a certain point.
What Virral says above: ""looking for a 4vs4 game, join #tinshed if you're interested" is fine and dandy. |
