A simple enough question. Not too many fluff justifications. So the questions becomes: "why do elves get more help in the majors than the Maple Leafs do in Ice Hockey?" |

Do you expect to get enough interest from TR farming Elf coaches if Elfs were on the same side as hitty Dorf teams? |

At this point Zingr.... yes.
In addition to the fluff supporting switching Darkies to Dark in exchange for Dorfs, elves have become dominant in majors. Lets look at the last four majors:
UI: Sanguine Savants (Dark Elf)
GLT: Athel Loren Guardians (Wood Elf)
FC: Ultimate Superheroes (Wood Elf)
Warpstone Open: Urza'a World (Wood Elf)
Making a tourney for the "elf teams" is not needed anymore. The elfballers still play 75% of their games against elves before the tourney. Now by sorting by TR, they get three more rounds of elf games (notice how many elf teams are present compared to the previous year?).

Dwarves live in caves and darkness, hence they fall under the dark side. Though I suspect that the bashers will be limping in while the elves prance happily into the latter rounds. Could be wrong though, see some nasty elf teams lurking around. |

Because the tournement is arranged by sneaky high elves ? |

Honestly:
Which dwarfteam can win 3 consecutive rounds against agile elves? |

Cant see a long schedule like in the actual UI. The more games, the more possibilities of getting casualties on key players.
Thing that wont happen playing elfballing teams. It seems you cant still see our point. |

The big one that doesn't make sense anymore is the dark elves being on the light. They won the last two UIs. I'm pretty sure the HE are stuck up enough that they'd now check any mildly suspicious teams to protect the purity of their tournament. |

I just answered the question you posted. It`s not my fault, if I fail to see an unrelated point to that.
I just look at it this way:
Swaping DE for dwarves will do 2 things. For one, it will decrease the amount of DE applications from coaches that cannot play a huge amount of games. The elves will get hurt in the dark qualifier and need quite a few games of elfbowl to build up again to a competitive level. The other effect will be even more elven team in the major tournament, as the chances of a DE winning 3 games vs bashers is way higher than the chances of dwarves beating 3 fast teams in a row.
So you end up with even more elves in the mainevent, just with the difference, that the DE will be battered, and the other elves will not. |

Because elves don't like them.
Honestly, we have this every year: tried using search? |

It's not fine with me, there's 22 official rosters with only 4 elves. Why elves should be 50% of the players in tourney ? There's only one norse team in light qualifier, only 2 amazons, no lizardmens. You guys remember that Bloodbowl is not a sport only for Elves ? Why should we give them advantage over other teams ? |

What I'd like to know is why dwarves exist at all. Shouldn't they have bored themselves to extinction already? |

Since the selection of the applicants was based on TR, the elven races had advantages over the other light races, to get one of the places. |
