Vote A
Although I will be opting out of the competition as regardless of if I go up or stay down at the end of this season I'm probably going to need to trim my team.
I just can't afford to risk skilling any players and further boosting my TR in a competition
(I'm not saying this to brag, I'll either have to cut a few or a lot to take part in next season) |

Hope you don't mind, GrinningD, but I'm going to have to rule out votes from coaches who aren't going to participate. |

Since the vote seems to be going towards option A at the moment, but there are also lots of coaches who think the FA Cup should be just that - a KO cup - how about a bit of a compromise?
Let's keep the FA Cup/Plate as a simple KO, and leave that as a Christmas/New Year event.
And let's call this competition something else, and use Purplegoo's Sevens-style format.
Only problem then is: we need a new name and theme.
Any ideas? |

To be honest, I suggested the format for three reasons;
a) The cup last time out was seen as a bit of a method of the bigger teams playing many games, and getting even bigger by a few (this way everyone plays at least 3 times),
b) It eliminates pesky byes, which I don't like, and,
c) It means theoretically at least, at the start of the draw, every team is in with the chance of winning the big one, the cup. No-one is excluded to lesser competitions.
The majority of the format is KO, but I can see some want a pure KO.... Both methods have their pros and cons, IMO.
Edit : As for a theme.. Umm, dunno! |

Despite the fact that i suck badly in KO tourneys i vote for B.
If A is the decided option though, i agree it should fluffed up as something other than the WIL FA cup. Something like the inter toto cup, which has had a group/KO format in the past. |

Vote A, but it does mean more games to play, which 'could' cause a problem. |

I vote for 'A'.
But if 'B' should be chosen then I wish to play in the cup please. |
