Hi!

I saw, when a team A in a tournament receives points in a game and therefor has the same number of points than another team B in this tourney, mustn't B stand before A? Up to now, there is a difference in the ranking, so that one team has e.g. place 3, the other place 4. Then, for me, it would make more sense, if the team A has place 4, while team B earns place 3. Up to now it's the other way round. So waiting to play your games is a benefit, while trying to make all of your games as soon as possible is "punished" with this disadvantage.

Perhaps it's possible to change this. Thank you,

gan Very Happy

The answer depends on whether or not Monty Hall knows which of the two doors the goat is behind.

His question is not dumb, just because you didnĀ“t understand it.

In my oppinion this is a bug.
We need a tiebraker in this cases.

The good old coin flip should decide in those cases.

Are you certain that it is always the second team to reach 'n' points, and that it is not say .. which team is the oldest (lower team id), random, alphabetical order, or something else?

You either need 'tiebreaker' rules to decide which team wins in the case of equal points (not currently handled by FUMBBL), or a more complex scoring system that incorporates the tiebreaker rules.

An example of a more complex scoring system is one that awards 30 for a win, 10 for a draw, 0 for a loss, +1 per touchdown, -1 per touchdown against. Essentially 3/1/0 scoring, and then TD diff as a tiebreaker

Another example would be 300/100/0, +10/-10 per TD, +1/-1 per cas if you wanted a second tiebreaker on casualties.

Edit: afaik, the winner of a tournament when the leaders are equal on score is decided by a coin flip.

From what I remember, the teams are sorted by name when the points are the same. It's up to the tourney staff to sort things out when it actually makes a difference.

Invent your own tie-breaker rules and add/subtract discretionary points to get the placings right at the end of the season.

For the ordering when points are level, the site seems to use team ID#, IIRC.
