ST8 with 1 assist = 3 dice block against a Chaos Warrior.

I deny that!
Going through the thread, I've posted a summary edit of the thread so far in the first post for easy viewing.
Any more points people? |

Just so you all know.
That said, this question need never be asked again. |
Yes yes.
This original statement, which trolled well and started this good discussion, is in certain very specific circumstances... wrong.
Any more circumstances people? |

i would never ever take block on a dbl 6 for a big guy no matter if its a troll, ogre or whatever i would allways take the +ST there alot of reasons for this postet many times, so im not gonna repeat those, but only add that the chance of getting another dbl to gain block is alot bigger then the chance of getting a 2nd +ST. |

...Two circumstances... ...trying to click on +St and picking Accurate instead, leading to much cursing and violent behavior to random parts of the room I'm in... Anything but the comp, too expensive! *Glances about* Like this paper weight carved in the shape of a bear destined to someday be imbedded in my wall... That and a Minotaur... Minotaurs don't need stength, they need block and pro... |

Dude... +ST Minotaurs get 3dice blitz or 2dice Multiple Block blitz by themselves with no assists...
As for the Accurate misclicks, I guess the improved passing game inspires you to throw stuff around the room? |

You prefer Pass on your Big Guy because your name is Gary_Gygax.
Big Guy or Stunty teams that specialize in TTM are a special case for a special kind of coach. |
Ahahaha, I just noticed this one after more than 2 years!
But yes, I totally agree |

The argurment that you don't take +st then you don't get 3bd is stupid. It requires only 1 more assist. then you get 3bd with block. look at the stats for that.
block also reduces the change of nuffle screwing you over when your big guy is in a tough situatiuon.
I'm not sure a treeman should take it. dodge would be more awesome. |

Did no one ever notice, that in the quote one chance is wrong ?!
3D vs a BloDger is not 57% it is 100%-57% = 43%
Only way to hit is POW, 1/6 chance, 3 dice, (5/6)^3 chance to fail (not get a POW).
57% would be the chance to fail 125 / 216 = 0,578703704.
So 42,13% would be the chance to succeed.
You still have a bigger chance but its not that much bigger. 31% vs 42% instead of 31% vs 57%
just FYI |

whazt about throwers i think +st is a bit useless for them strong arm or nerves of steel i think are the better choices a thrower
should stay anyway away from blocks and if not used exessively +st gives your opponent a too big ts advantage |

You usually have 2 Throwers, if one gets +st you can make him a good ballcarrier with Sure Hands that doesn't need to score and age that quickly (1spp intead of 3)
Also, once you make the pass, your Thrower can wait in the backfield just in case something goes wrong... there +st Tackle or Strip Ball can be handy. |
