Well you are all selfish bastards aren't you!? |

A pretty apt description of high CR coaches |

From the rules: Don't start a game where there is a chance you won't be able to finish without your opponent knowing about it. Unless you state otherwise, you are expected to be able to play for 90 minutes.
Everything else is petty bickering, if you ask me. (What no one will admit to do. )

Playing vrs someone who is very slow can be mildly annoying but i found teh best way to deal with it is when they say "sorry i know im slow" i just reply "thats ok ive got it on split screen and im watching porn during your turns.... you dont mind that im jackin it while we talk do you?"....
its amazing how much faster people suddenly play |

Take this advice with caution!
This might work on some, but I fear Russo would use up the emergency minutes too. |

I will blacklist you then. You're the first, by the way. |
Wow, talk about the toys being thrown out of the pram
Better Blacklist me too, I sometimes talk to opponents during my turn |
Blacklist me either. Even if you say that you are not impolite, you're not friendly neither.
Hey could you write it in your bio? I don't like playing unfriendly coaches? |

That beeing said, it's still a blackbox thread so let's forget about writing things down in the bio.
I played a few matches ago a slow coach. I haven't written a line about it cause I find that's a bad attitude. Point is, I admit you can play slow in tricky situation, looking for a heavy chain or something alike. But he played slow in situations that were no brainers.
It's not that I usually mind, but in blackbox, you may join a new turn IF you play it under 1 hour. Most games tend to last within that limit. But when you know you'll wait the next turn because your game lasted for 1h and 5 minutes, it's angering. |

One thing that i have been thinking about is that there would be some kind of stat saying the avarage time of your turns - there is stats for cas, fouls and tds etc, etc. I´m not that fast so if it says on my bio that i have av. time of 3.15 minutes, my opponents knows that and can choose to play some other faster guy. |

I’m a rather slow coach too. Being relatively new to the game (about 150 games) and my desire to have a bit of a chat makes me slower than some other coaches. I think it’s a matter of preference though. I don’t want to rush my games to get to number 1000 or so. I want to enjoy my match and have fun with my opponent. I love nothing better than a chatty opponent and if he takes his full 4 minutes while being friendly and talkative you won’t hear me complaining!
Some people propose to say you are slow in your bio so they can avoid you. Which is perfectly okay by me. But than again I wouldn’t mind people putting in their bio that they are impatient and non-talkative coaches that want to rush games so that coaches like me can avoid those games too...
Bottomline... play as you like and try to find coaches that play likewise! |

This is a Blackbox thread...
Personally, I don't mind how long people take as long as they don't go over the four minutes. What does annoy me though is when nothing at all happens consistently in their turns for a couple of minutes or so and then all the actions get done in the next minute and a half. It may be that they are thinking hard and meticulously planning before doing any actions, but other, quicker, turns usually suggest this isn't the case. What I suspect is rather that they're doing something else/surfing another site and checking back periodically to see if it's their go yet. That I do find rude. |

Being talkative and fast aren't mutually exclusive. Likewise, you can be slow and mute, which is the most annoying combination. |

Why would I write that in my bio? If it makes you play faster, insult me all you like. |

We must get to 10 pages!!
I have to admit that slow players do bug me as well, I like fast games. Emphasy and woodstock are legends.
I understand when its a new coach but when someone is experienced on here they should really be getting everything done in about 2 minutes, people who take more than 2 minutes to set up for a kickoff is even more frustrating (unless for 1 turn score obviously).
PS. Using the numpad can save you about 30 seconds a turn. |
