ok been awhile rl has just got in the way and a girlfriend has just dumped me for trying to give her my coat when she was cold. women, however i will now have more time to run a season 3 much better :] so win. anyways ive just looked into creating a group page and tbh was a little stumped? so i guess im gonna need the code off you Paul if thats still ok and i can work around it?
i really liked the scoring system last time, i think it was fair for all races involved so dont really wanna change that. the aim should still be on killing dwarfs its not called the winning against dwarf union after all. and i think that was encouraged with the previous system nicley. as for worries over cherry picking i didnt really see much of that in the previous seasons i know the easier games i got were from lack of coaches being around as i was willing to play anyone and im pretty sure the hardcore dmuers (kinks, testi, calcium)were/are the same.
id like to include the chaos dwarf option just no points awarded for hobgoblins or big guys, itl add abit of variety to peoples games give people a break and get more anti dmu teams involved. always funny to have some coach go on about how he broke a av 7 team down with his plus 30 odd ts dwarf team.....
all divisions are welcome any team anywhere killing dwarfs or chaotic ones! as for awards top 3 teams as before will get trophies and then a special mention for the top teams from each division [B], league etc...
as for staff mr foulscumm has offered help and kinks thats a pretty good start if theres anyone else with abit of spare time give me a shout :]
i think a good aim is to start season 3 in a weeks time, gimme a chance to get my head around what i need to do to create the group page etc as ive never done this before. and hopefully drum up enough interest to make the season rock hard. once ive got a page up and running il be able to give details on where to post your results etc...
in the mean time please feel free to make any suggestions if you played in previous seasons and have a wkd idea or you like the sound of killing dwarfs and would like to ask what the fuss is all about. |

We still need to play - you challenged my dwarves with your av7 pansies (aka norse), remember? I´ve been away for a while but would still love to retire your team |

Of course Chaos dwarfs would be allowed to join. There is nothing better than the rivalry between the followers of Hashut and the weak dwarfs that think they are all good and nice. |

they should be allowed to join only without blockers or bulls, as you said... and mangling these (blockers and bulls) should also give points... my thoughts on the suject... |

Victim....I am limited computer wise, but I am happy to help wherever I can. I suggest that we start advertising #DMU in IRC as well, it's been quiet of late
I agree with all of your suggestions at the top of the thread, the scoring system worked well in DMU because it was SIMPLE (sadly Vive La Ratsistance's scoring system didn't work because it was complex imo ) so no change needed there. The system isn't broke so don't fix it!
I would like to make one suggestion though. I think a bonus of 'X' points should be awarded for 'retiring' a dwarf team. This is no mean feat, given their cowardice behind their many layres of armour. 20 points? 50? Up to the majority and Victim of course.
Other than that, my fearless NORSE team (Ripping off Kinks! Bless his norse cotton socks!) are ready to rock!
Long live the DMU!!! |

Yeah thats a sweet idea calcium about bonus point for retiring teams! my elfs have managed to retire 4 dwarf teams so far! mayb just a x2 on the score, would really make for some epic scores and really encourage people to bash dwarfs all the way! hehe
il advertising will deffo commence when the page is all up and running im busy right at this minute but will give it a bigger look into tonight! ive got the code of paul but struggling to make any sense of what i need to do and in what order lol. im sure il muddle thru tho |

With regards to getting points for CD, I did suggest the same thing at the end of last season.
The reason Paul felt it was a bad idea was because it is impossible to tell from a post match report if an Apo Kill or BH was on a Hob Gob or a Dorf, meaning that you would have to watch the entire replay to verify the scores. |
