I'm stuck for what to give my Gutter Runner on a double
Big Hand for dodging in and picking up....
Two Heads for better dodge rolls....
Spikes just because it helps....
Very Long Legs for the one turning....
Dauntless to make him an MA9 blitzer....
Foul Appearance for not getting hit and the other bits....
or something else?
If something else, then please post. if you want to say why you chose what you did, that would be appreciated |

Dauntless always. Then hope for horns and claw
Foul apearence on another 1 if you want a good pass blocker. Vll's and 2 heads arnt realy worth it and spikes is for developed players.
IMHO |

I'd take the dauntless first double. Big Hand on a later Gutter, especially if one manages +AG. +AG + Leap + Big Hand = freaking impossible to stop. But to start, that MA9 blitzer is the way to go. Skaven are like wood elves - scoring on offense is easy, performance on defense is the key. |

Looks like it's his first skill. Two of your first three skills on a skaven team are doubles? I like those skill rates for mutations! But if you have three gutters on a 2-game old 11-man roster, you need a bit more muscle. Hence, the dauntless will improvise a stronger player, needing only a single assist to take on even ogres and the like. You'll just have to balance out who gets to blitz each turn--the rat ogre or the gutter. Also work like mad to get that gutter his second skill, taking block over all other rolls but another double or +str. Yes, even over +agi/move, as those are more suited towards a scorer, while dauntless is a blitzer. Block, then tackle, horns on the next double then hope for more doubles for claw/rsc, available even on str 2 players (unlike MB, which requires str 3 to get). Your gutters can then be broken down according to role on the team--passblocker, ball retriever, scorer and blitzer, each taking appropriate skill choices. Ahh, the possibilities...of course, that's way down the road, but you gotta start somewhere, right? And with so few linerats, you need muscle more than scoring now, hence dauntless first. |

Hey, who wouldn't pass up a measly +AG roll for Block! I mean, +AG helps with some things sure, but block is...block! BLOCK!

Dauntless. Always. I even did it a second time.
Nothing beats MA9 blitzers... |

Make your 1st gutter a blitzer with dauntless, block, tackle, strip ball and hope for horns.
Make your 2nd gutter a stunty killer... in other words, horns 1st, block, tackle, strip ball and hope for dauntless. (I had one of these and he was really my star, gets 2 dice on the STR2 catchers and other gutters.)
Make your 3rd one a 1-turner.... for those 1-turning needs...
Make the last one whatever you like... I like a shadower... block, shadowing, tackle, sidestep, surehands and big hand or prehensive tail on doubles. (People hated that guy.)
My 2 cents... |
