Besides Blood Bowl my other game that I loved to play back in the day was Battle Tech by FASA.
I have scene some Battle Tech Java programs and some sites that run Battle Tech matches.
I was wondering if any of you guys have played these or have some insight on which one is really good. There are 4 diffrent sites that run Battle Tech java games.

Aren't they all connected? I thought there were a few, and they ended up being the same. Oddly, it seems to have gone from my favourites.
I know Ameranth and a few of the SWL boys play it. Problem for me is, I played battletech a long long time ago and it's changed a lot. Oddly, it seems to have gone from my favourites.
A plus point though is that the rules are pretty cheap to buy, if you get them as a pdf. A minus point is that it doesn't look that great, also playing around with the client, I felt I wasn't getting very far, without tuition.
Certainly something I'd like to dabble in at a later date. Same as Universal Battles, which has warhammer free again. |

I'm certainly interested but I'd be in the 'toddler learning to walk' bracket.
On a similar note, I know burnalot is looking for people to play warhammer with on universal battles. |

I prefer Techlevel 1 (Basic) Matches.
Team Play (2vs2) or Solaris (Last Man Standng), or just training.
I´m familiar with the rules and the client for a long time, and could set up a training game at a time.
Maybe you should wait a few months:
´Cause this is coming up:

This sounds so cool, guys. I swear I'll get round to playing some more BattleTech one of these days! |

Roughly how long does this kind of game take?
I've heard good things about Battle Tech but never played it myself and obviously the online client probably changes the experience drasticly. I might be interested depending on playing time. |
