1) Gnome Engineers are now known as Mad Bommaz
2) Orc Slayers are now known as Daredevils
3) Dwarven Cannon is no longer really stupid
4) Daredevils, Gnomes and Mad Bommaz are all now AV8 |

Since when do gnomes use orcish slang? (bommaz).
The (non-name) changes all look good. |

Daredevils is a much worse name.
The change for the cannons is great...but the av8 deal?
I could never beat the gnomes before, now I just know it'll be impossible. |

Gnomes have 8 players without the strunty trait. Two are av10 and the others now av8. Plus another 8 av8 with stunty...
Douesn't sound very stunty leeg to me... |

and a cannon that can act on it own.... it should be a prereqisite that ppl have to be next to it for it to do anything... ITS A CANNON FFS.... and being gnomeis it should have a tendency to blow it self up..... |

I doubt that anyone complaining like this have actually suffered through the horror that was playing with a Gnome team.

What horror? Bombing all opposing players into oblivion? |

Ahem.
As if bombs were anywhere near reliable - as if Gnomes where winning a lot. If you'd had coached a team you'd know they struggle, and struggle a lot.

There are weaker teams than gnomes. They get a great TTM ability, long range passing, start with 2 block/frenzy/dauntless players and have possibly the best secret weapons access in stunty. The problem is the big guy vs no big guy teams. Av8 will mean they still lose they just wont get hurt.
Either give the bombers stunty, or take it away from the goblin bombers.... |

I think they need 4 BLock Frenzy Dauntless Players to be viable. I still have trouble winning with them, even with Granddads |

If gnomes where so strong - how come they are the third worst team in terms of win/lose ratio? http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=stats&op=race&nav=&order=8
I played a team for quite a while now - yes they have non stunty players, but those very regularly get banned faster then one would imagine. By now I usually don't even field the bombers for most of the first half at all anymore, to have something to put on the field second half. Thickskull and av7 did NOT prevent them from taking heavy cass. St2 with frenzy is not that strong. Adding stunty to the bombers makes them even worse, as that reduces their passing ability.
It is - btw possible to win with gnomes, you have to risk those ttms though and be lucky enough to pull them off several times a game. However - A ttm capability never can be great, especially with ma4 and ma2 on the ttm throwers - you need a lot of die rolls to get the ball in position and likely have to throw the ttms over a large distance to counteract the low movement.

There was only one team weaker than the Gnomes, at that was the poor, poor Cheaters.
Don't give Bombers Stunty - they're almost unplayable as it is. Do take it away from Goblin bombers, though.
The big problem with Gnomes - that partially still remains - is that they're very slow without being able to fight. Now they can at least take a kicking without falling apart completely.

I can assure you that any bomb ever used against me is reliable. |
