I have been away for a while and I come back to this new take root rule. Who the hell came up with that? Trees have gone from the most reliable big guy (provided your lucky at kickoff) to lumps of wood ready to be chopped to pieces at every conceivable opportunity. Lunacy plain and simple |

Well I dont think you can realy moan too much - after all you still keep the same rules for your dancing ponces that weave around like horny maidens after a large prickly ball.... |

Play a fling team with the old rules and then with the new. If you still feel the change is bad complain .

No kidding. So what if the tree just stands there for woodies...it's all they really need it for anyway... |

Umm... you do realize that you are guaranteed to be on the pitch for the first half now right?? And that you're uprooted if you get knocked over or a new drive starts?? |

Exactly - they dont exactly have it so bad. ANd with all those fluid movements by the ponces - all that dodging and leaping around in their merry moments - the only thing they should do with the tree is BURN it !!!!!!!!!!!! |

hehe these guys have never played agressive chaos flings or cheaters - If one of my trees went down againt those guys he wouldn't be getting back up again.
Fairies were excellent - get thrashed first half and do some whupping second - all that is now gone.
I'd rather take my chances and have a reliable tree second half any day of the week. |

Hm? I played fairies for a good deal. I much prefer to have my trees first half. It's not like you can't score quick with them to re-set the take root trees, should it happen.

I still reackon it hurts fairies based on simple mathamatics.
With 3 trees you were almost certain to have one turn up and had good odds on the second.
Even without deeproot thats a pretty good lineup to start with.
With fairies as ST1 players I think you really need the trees to be more mobile.
Its probably still even going to be worth it for the odd game that no trees turn up.
As far as flings and woodies go I'm totally happy.
The woody treeman stands in the center for the whole game like I want it to.
The fling trees turn up and get in the way for a bit.
In fact after the rules change I've taken my first ranked flings and am enjoying them immensly. |
