Instead of having a set amount of positionals, why don't you have a set cost for a team?
For example, one of the necro positionals (a ghoul) costs 70k, this is the same as a dwarf or elf lineman and is worth roughly the same.
So why should necro or undead be handicapped in a situation like this? However.......this system may cause problems for Dwarfs. But there isn't a great variety of price between positionals.
My advice would be to work out a pricing structure per team, rather than go for set amount of positionals. |

Lots of news, but we're holding off until the league options are working correctly. Once that's in place we'll be looking for half a dozen or so people to participate in some testing divisions to see how it all plays out. |

Positionals are halved, I believe. So as an example if you play undead, you can take 2 ghouls not 4. This has always been the way afaik. |

No-linemen teams could be too good anyway
How does it work with the drafting? no dice rolls? just the MVP retired? |

Both drafting and team construction have been part of the review taking place with the aim of making 7s the fastest paced, most enjoyable and accessible game possible. I don't want to drip feed information and stuff because nothing has been finalised until after testing has been done but it's pretty safe to say that it will be different than before |

If anybody is interested in future testing, then i recommend post a reply here saying "i volunteer for testing".
I promise to come back to the issue once the revision is done. |

Just to update this, we've opened testing early. The options still aren't in place, but for testing some of the new concepts that isn't necessary. If anyone would like to be involved visit the testing group page
Thanks |

I thought I'd update the thread with the latest info.
Testing is still open to anyone interested. The rules can be found on the testing group page.
There are currently over a dozen testers and feedback has been largely positive. The rules provide a fast paced and exciting game which provides different tactical challenges to regular BB and a different playstyle and feel.
Anyone interested send a PM to any of the group managers, or post in this thread |
