The MasterChef's Challenge has started and the Soup'er Midgets have played two games today.
The first game was against some hapless Ogres. The Flings managed to rack up a kill and 3 cas, though considering the lowly Snotlings puny Av the flings probably expected more. They also ran out as 1-0 victors, gaining points for keeping a clean sheet (known as a shutout) and scoring 1 touchdown.
The second game of the day came against some nasty Skaven complete with ag5 gutter runner. The game started fairly typically with the Skaven scoring quickly and there was nothing the flings could do to stop it. Then they kicked and got Blitz on the kick off table making it an easy 2-0 lead after a few turns, however the Flings did manage to Kill the rat Ogre and Ko a couple of linerats before the next kick off.
Sadly for the flings the sneaky Skaven got Perfect Defence next making things a little tricky, but the flings managed to get the ball safe and then run it in turn 7. This of course left the Skaven a OTT attempt, but it wasn't to be, the Skaven Blitzer just wanted to knock the Fling on the Los down too much.
The 2nd half was when things really started going the flings way clearing a number of Linerats off the pitch and scoring in turn 6. The skaven still had time to win though and made a line for the end zone. The flings managed to get 2 dice on the Gutter Runner ball carrier and then ran the ball to safety, still believing they had time to score again, but suddenly the ref blew his whistle. It was the last turn of the game and the flings didn't realise. So they settled for the hard fought draw.
It probably wont be one of their top 5 games this month but was still a hard fought clash. On another note, the chef failed 6 out of 6 rolls. Useless git |

you get extra points against the two teams that start with tackle (dwarf, and chaos dwarf). In fact you get your score multiplied by 2. But there is no point in overcomplicating things. You shouldn't need any tackle to beat flings anyway really, one player with block in a st3+ team should be enough to deal with them.
Quite a few fling games going on today that I have spotted and strangely the flings seem to be winning all of them!
Flings FTW!!! |

Was that the player who left because you didn't know about the conceding rules? Epic that you got him to come back after an expensive kickstarter apology! |

The whole point of flings is to pick your opponents, its not as if they are known for their longevity. |

Not the best of beginnings, especially since my flings lost to dirty goblins, but 8 points in the first match (2/2/0 in CAS)... You have to start somewhere. I'd have put the tying goal up if it hadn't been for a 1d block pow from a goblin, with a crowd throw-in right to another goblin....
C'est la vie.... Now, gimme some sticky buns! |
