Hi mates! Got this crazy guy that rolled a normal roll: https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=10165954
He usually picks up and runs with the ball, I have other ball sackers. What skill would you give him and why? Too many choices out there. Ahh, and we are talking about box environment...
Thanks for your help. |

Thank you for the detailed description. Makes it much easier than to speculate.
After careful consideration and reviewing your team I'm thinking Sure Hands.
The main point is to counteract Strip Ball what you currently can not do, but it will also allow you to not waste RR on pick ups and give you a greater chance to retrieve balls out of scrums.
As for Side Step, the benefit may be a little bigger for a blodger speaking in general terms and is needed but not primary now for the way you use this player type, imo. |

Since he's a ball handler it surely should be Sure Hands?
Otherwise Sidestep or Fend. |

Leap would make him handy on defence.
Would occasionally help as a ball carrier too if he gets surrounded. |

two leap is better than 1. The good thing about leap is the threat is often better than the use. Having a st4 ag5 leaper on the pitch means your opponent will never feel safe. That is worth its weight in gold.
the other good thing about leap on a ball retriever is, if the ball lands in a ruck you can leap to it instead of doing a few 3+ dodges on the bounce or whatever. It means the ball is never out of reach. |

Leap in a heartbeat. It's pretty much automatic on a +AG elf. |
