Hello all !
I'm new to Fumbbl, and i have some questions... I didn'f find the answers in the FAQ or Help... Excuse my english grammatical mistakes please ^^
- I don't really understand the difference between the Team Rating and the Strength...
- If you hire a firebooter or a Star, it's just for one game ?
- What is the best way to find a game ?
Thanks to all of you who will answer ! |

1) tr affects handicaps, ts affects what you can play in ranked and is more accurate. ts is a fumbbl thing and is what you usualy compaire to see if teams are even.
2)yes
3) the gamefinder and in chat |

Ok, so for example , SPPS of a player who misses next game are counted in the TR but not in the TS ? |

Exactly.
Also, the TS value of a player is based upon the actual skills and stats they have, rather than just the number of SPPs.
So if you have a 51 SPP human lineman with kick, tackle, shadowing, block, -AG and a niggling injury, that guy will be worth less than another lineman with 51 SPPs who got lucky and has Block, Dodge, +MA and +ST with no injuries.
It has absolutely no effect on the actual game, once it is started, however. Team Strength is a league-specific number to help you find a game and figure out your Coach Ranking (in Ranked at least). It doesn't actually change the rules of any particular match at all, in case you were worried about house rules or something.
Also, just to expand upon point #3 a bit, IRC chat is the primary way that matches are not arranged. This isn't a rule or anything but it has proven to be the easiest way to find a game over the years and is generally expected. If you have a team listed on gamefinder, for example, people will expect to see you in chat so that they can offer a match. Some people try to use just GameFinder and PMs but a lot of people don't even answer their Private Messages, I think. Basically, chat is the way to go, by an enormous margin.
Oh yeah. Welcome aboard. You joined on my birthday, so you get a free slice of cake.
{ edit: thanks Albemouff, Azuras and Thrall. Yes, I have birthdays (too damn many of them, in fact. I'm old.) and I'm still on chat, just not in #fumbbl, usually... } |

Hello all !
I've got another question...
Are new rules for big guys applied on Fumbbl ? (They now only have the right to take Strength skills)
And if yes, what will become existing Big Guys ?
Thanx !! |
