Average Mediocrity just finished a perfect sprint for this season. Too bad the scripts didn't register.
I'll take my prizemoney in cash! |

It is working now. A few people getting plenty of games in within the first two weeks. Vault Tec as usual starting strongly in the Conference. |

I'm rusty (it's been 18 months) but I'm back on the horse, and back in the box! |

First game in 18 months got out-bashed (badly) by a Skaven team. Welcome back to FUMBBL! |

Back from holidays, back to updates!

Will it heat up in the second half, or most of the big contenders are shelved for the upcoming FUMBBL Cup?

3. Average Mediocrity - 19 points (2/2/7)

Oh great collective of coaches! My Humans played their second game in the current sprint, and it went swimmingly.
https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=640215
With that, I have a plethora of funds. I'm debating the following tactics:
1) Hiring a rookie Thrower (#1) and hiring the Journeyman Lino with 2SPP (#1
This will bring me to 12 players, BUT it'll bump my TV up a bit.
2) Hiring just the rookie Thrower (#1)
3) Hiring just the Lino (#1
4) Hiring another catcher, and forgoing the Thrower entirely.
Thoughts? |

If you got sure hands instead of fend, skipping the thrower would be an option, but I usually like a ST3 sure hands ball carrier for matches against stripping elves.
So thrower is a must.
Getting the 2SPP lino too? Not in my book. You don't want your lino to skill, you want it on your blitzers, ogre and thrower.
And you need to keep some cash for replacing SI or RIP blitzers, you don't want to run with just three, isn't it? |

Looks like I'm too late to offer an opinion on your questions ignatzami. My observations now would be you've got a serious shortage of cash, and you'll need to keep an eye on the catcher. He's becoming a potential SPP hog.
As for skill ups on linemen, that is something I enjoy doing, so I'd have disagreed with Oenar's rationale for not hiring him. I also would have been wrong |

I'm debating un-hiring the lino. Hence why I left the team in pending. I like having skilled Linos but in the Box I see it's a TV bloat.
As for the catcher, yeah, I deliberately tried to score with the blitzer last game, and managed to skill one.
He's just so useful. |

I wouldn't fire him at this stage, you'll want to keep him around while you rebuild your treasury. Personally playing at premiership level I feel low on cash if the balance drops below 500k. At conference you still probably want 300k in the bank for those rainy days when blood flows like water. |
