My Treeman Fladrif just got a double on his second skill roll. He was lucky enough to get block before the change in rules, so now i have only three possible options:
tackle, which i think doesn't compare to the other two
pro, which would help on the stand up and take root actions as well as the blocking rolls
dodge, which would make him harder to knock down - st 6 blodger is quite something =)
i'm really stuck between pro and dodge...... |

In my experience trees go down mostly due to their own failed blocks. The only guys who really go after trees are bashy teams with plenty of guard and St4 or more. The opponents you are most likely to face with Old world will have tackle skills to negate the dodge. And you already have SF to dodge without consequences.
I'd take pro. |

Dodge. harder to knock down, and hey two chances to dodge with standfirm to get that tz where you need it (within two squares!). |

You could always take pass on an Old World treeman, since with the halfling companion you could go TTM... |

Dodge helps to survive, but the business of a treeman is not to survive, but to destroy the ones who dare to face him. So pro is the best, but even tackle is better than dodge. |

Dodge Dodge Dodge. People seriously under-estimate the blocking advantage of it, and with Stand Firm? Go for it!!! |

Pro , Sure Feet , Frenzy
dodge is useless. when your are playing in higher tr teams , they tend to have tackle and if you are palnning to run away with your tree : ) break tackle + SF is for that.
Pro helps with that rooting problem |

Pro is a fine skill for treemen. Especially for launching flings. |

Taking into consideration the new take root rules pro is probably better than surefeet. Whatever you don't take dodge. You could consider pass cause it's fun but it isn't the best call it's just amusing. |
