Squig Vicious of Safety Pins and Mohorcs has hit his 5th skill.
So far he has +2MA, Tackle and Strip Ball. Surprisingly this means his main role in the team is for sacking ball carriers or chasing down Catchers. He's also pretty good at receiving a pass/hand-off and surprising my opponent with a speedy TD.
However, useful skills available to him are pretty thin on the ground and I'm having real difficulty working out which is the most useful.
My ideas:
- Pro - sometimes I need to dodge him out to blitz the ball carrier, and if I need a reroll to achieve that, this'll give him a possible backup if the blitz result is rubbish.
- Shadowing - If more Elf teams would accept games at this level, then this'd be a no-brainer. Sadly it's not.
- Stand Firm - Good for his role of sacking/man marking, might help with trying to score desperate TDs.
- Juggernaut - Good for sacking, turning bad blitz results into a push and triggering Strip Ball.
Any other suggestions? |

Mighty Blow.
He is a sacker, it would be helpful from time to time if the ball carrier you took down, didn't get straight back up. |

Sure Hands for a second ball carrier option. Also after a sack he may be able to pick up the ball.
Frenzy and MA8 go nicely together. In addition to surfing ability the increased sacking ability is valuable.
Mighty Blow. The blitzes he does make will be important ones. The increased chance of an injury on the opponent in these situation is attractive. |

Your guy has S access on a normal and does not have mb or guard, both critical skill for your team. Would lean for mb on this guy as he is your sacker. |

I was going to suggest these also. Good choices for that player. If you take
I will add Guard. Guard is always good to have anywhere you can find it. And that is what I think I would take... or maybe I would take Mighty Blow or Frenzy.
But I voted Pro because of how useful it is in multiple situations. I is almost like having 1/2 of Sure Hands, Dodge, Catch, Pass and Sure Feet in addition to what you pinted out in the Blocking Game.
For THIS PLAYER 4 of those 5 skills are unavailable without a Double. And since you have players to pick up the ball with Sure Hands already... I would strongly consider Pro with him. He could be a effective 1 turner with that extra 1/2 Reroll for a Catch, or a Dodge or a GFI on the way to the OTTD.
I wouldn't bother with Shadowing. Elves will still get away and they can just Block him away if they don't want to risj the Dodge. |

Does Pro let you reroll the armor or injury?
No?
Pro = trash
I'd probably take MB, but I think sure hands is underrated much of the time.
Also guard is just so good when you start to reach critical mass levels with it. And so looking at your team, you're not at critical mass yet, so I would strongly consider guard. With a small consideration for stand firm, because that's another of those skills that when spammed just messes up opponents days. |
