Was this game the height of cherry picking or what?
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=744700
I challenged him as a joke,
he took it seriously
i probably should have said "no dude, not fair..."
but i didn't
the rest is "cherry picking" history |

Quoting from FUMBBL rules:
"Coaches are expected to play reasonably balanced games. Play against lower rated teams is allowed, but should not be abused. It is understood that sometimes teams need a recovery game against a lower ranked team after a particuarly bloody game, but excessive play against lower ranked teams creates an unfair advantage and will not be tolerated."
You did it? Not nice, but ok...
But to start a thread just to show "you did it" is... well..
ps: he was a newbie, too. Shame on you. |

Bad form to pick on new players, in particular. That kind of stuff turns off people to FUMBBL and BB in general. In the future, you should instead encourage new players to seek matches in the FUMBBL Academy. Also, don't offer matches that you think are unfair... sarcasm and joking don't translate well over IRC.
5/5 boos

Hey, i have tutored many new coaches - i usually go soft, and i was giving this guy pointers about how to play aswell. I've also played his lizzards, and gave him excellent tips that he said he had been using...
But i couldn't resist man... |

Wizard, you are the guy who is regularily stoned, are you not?
I guess the big question is how the other coach feels about it..... |

There is an assumption that people new to FUMBBL have at least some experience with the actual tabletop game. So, some responsibility has to fall on the "newbie" for accepting a match with this much TR differential. I've done it before, thinking I could take advantage of some matchups, and had it come back to bite me in the nads. But, I didn't whine any more than usual.
However, I agree... starting a thread and bragging about it is pretty ill. |

It was more to check on perceptions of cherry picking
Not bragging
If i was bragging it would go something like
"Duc13z, i pwed 4l1 pv3r 7h47 noob I3ia7ch..." |

Hmmm, from someone who lectured me about picking skills in a generally bloated ego fashion saying to me 'you've been told', you Wizard are clearly a very sad little man. I guess... you've been told |

Sadly, there is a learning curve for newbees.
Shame on you for pushing over a newbee
Can I play him next?
Does he have any soft av teams too? |
