Grudge League now has its own IRC channel: #grudgeleague on irc.fumbbl.com
Original question:
If Grudge League had its own IRC channel, would you join there for all the following things:
-general, easy-going discussion
-arranging and playing friendly Ranked/Stunty/Unranked matches between Grudge league members
-discussion about Grudge League
-discussion of skill selections&strategy and
-for speccing fellow coaches' games? |

Anyone can feel free to join the channel #grudgeleague
If you are not a member of the Grudge League group yet, come on over and we will turn your head around so that you will apply before the next tourney (which begins on 18th June). |

I have begun creating a bot for the channel. Any name suggestions are welcome.
Also, if someone would like me to includem a specific command, I can attempt to create one. The first ones will naturally include a random number generator (=throwing virtual dice |

Guess what I voted?
Well, I think it's a great idea. You could call the bot Grudgebearer... or just Grudge. Or the name of the League Founder (not Tyrant, the fluff guy... I'll find it..) Graf Boris Todbringer, okay maybe a bit too long... |

Name of the bot is now Grudgebear.
Grudgebear commands:
on channel:
!d6 (throws a six-sided die)
!2d6 (throws two six-sided die, then calculates the result)
!time (gives Grudgebearer time...will be changed into FUMBBL time soon)
More commands are yet to come. |

Grudgebear has been taught 4 different "Welcome" texts (non-member/member/staff/main organiser)when joining #grudgeleague and a goodbye message when parting the channel |

It is now possible to block people on #grudgeleague
!block (target)
Grudgebear will inform the result.
!foul is going to be implemented next. Expect higher av for staff members and lower for non-members of grudge league |

Prymja and dr_scitt suggested the following thing: Worlds Edge round 1 pairings could be made live in #grudgeleague by randomly drawing the teams from a list by using Grudgebear. Sounds like a great idea and a decent show for all the guys who follow FIFA Champions League etc. pairing lotteries live from TV. |

After a hard-fought battle, the !foul command has been implemented.
No mathematical equations were used (mIRC does not support multiple calculations while defining variables); instead, I circled around the problem by creating a notepad file called foul.txt
Because of this, everyone's av is 8 and there are no assists. |

It is now possible for any channel operator (=any Grudge League staff member) to turn the bot commands off.
I am the only one able to turn the commands back on. |

From now on, whenever a Grudge League member joins #fumbbl , Grudgebear checks if that person is already on the channel #grudgeleague. If the person in question has not yet joined #grudgeleague channel, he will be sent a friendly reminder of joining the channel.
We hope to get as many regulars as possible to the #grudgeleague chat. |

The reminder thing is actually a great idea. And the block thing is pretty cool as well. A lot better than getting slapped around by that old boring trout... |

I can make the bot slap you with an assortment of things if you like.
How about salmon, sea bass and tuna instead of the old trout? |
