Also, passblock isn't only to try to get interceptions, but also to put TZs on throwers and catchers. A Trollslayer or Tree can do that quite well, thank you very much.
I still think the Accurate Trolls and Treemen are the real winners, although a Human Thrower with Mighty Blow as his first skill comes to mind.
"NoS? Nah. Strong Arm? Don't need it. Dodge, even?! Worthless."
I'm just surprised it wasn't Piling On. |

I have a pass block troll. No one expects a pass block troll. |

here a rule question comes up... does he have to roll for really stupid before taking a pass block action?? If no, is he allowed to move when he failed his really stupid roll the turn before???
Questions... questions... so much to learn |

Pass block is not an action, as it is not listed in the table of actions, and is described as a special move. What does and does not constitute an action is very clearly laid out in this game. He would be able to make the move even if suffering from stupidity, as nothing in the description of pass block or really stupid would prevent him from doing so. |

Great skill for a thrower, as he is usually in the right spot for it. I know of no other player on my team whom I would continually put in a place where he can use it - off the LoS and not on the wings.
Just to say that I disagree with it being one of "the worst skill picks ever". |

Nothing wrong with Tackle on a Norse Blitzer imo. |

I have played against a team, where a zombie, MA 4, had shadowing as his only skill. Good idea... |

I've got a +Ag Saurus.. for a first skill. I got real excited. I was thinking in hindsight maybe block would've been the ticket.
Still waiting for that first successful dodge or ball pickup.
Almost took it for a first skill on another Saurus after the next match.. decided on block that time.
Not the worst choice.. hasn't paid off yet though. Waiting for a second increase |

My personal fav stupid skill choice is leap on a +ag skink. with stunty, dodge and 4 ag he really doesnt need to be jumping anwhere. it was his second skill and i have still never used it. Ah well, it a learning experience i supose |

poodleman depends how often you play dwarves. Leap could help you avoid a few tackle players tacklezones so it aint al that bad. Maybe only the rare occasion in which it'll be useful though. |

Actually I think there are a lot of situations where Over is better than Around. Going Around wastes MA. And even a +ag stunty doesn't have access to Dodge when faced with Tackle players, as you pointed out Jugular.
Also, a player can Leap during a Pass Block move. I once had a PB WarDancer standing behind a thrower. I had this vision of it when it happened; he did a Matrix style aerial cartwheel, caught the ball just as it left the thrower's hand, came down in front of him, and said 'I believe you dropped this.' Of course, if you did that with a Skink, there'd be a lot more hissing involved. |

I once gave a gutter runner horns for his first skill.
Not my finest moment.... |
