Early last year, I came to the conclusion that the fumbbl client is like playing the original wolfenstein 3d in 2005.
Consequently, I and a number of programmers from my club and others in England embarked on programming a proper client - part time for almost 2 years. |
^that didnt even make sense! |
Took you this long to figure out, eh? |

Don't think so,more probably someone else is going to invent it and let him use it as an experiment with chaos theory. An article is on the way, it will be publised past week. Math Nobel award for sure. |

when the site went down for a few days i was feinding for something else... and i came across a blood bowl live action game that was not chaos league http://www.gizmondoforce.com/bloodbowl.mov was the link for it but its not working now. i was a skathen vs orcs game that had a look of a john madden game for the ps1 but it still was something i actually saw with my own eyes. this post made me freak out and try and find it again. it looks as if i was going crazy or they have pulled the plug on it. anyone else know what i was talking about? |

I like the Java Blood Bowl client. The character icons remind me of my glorious Super NES days.
Besides, games already get up to 2 hours. Can you imagine with animation?
No, thanks. |

As someone who actually tries to program and automate a BB client ... this ain't easy folks ... so I agree he's blowing smoke. I have nothing but respect for Ski and his work ... I'm about halfway finished programming the Vault rules for my client (all but 5 skill changes programmed but still have gate/winnings/kick-off/and inducement changes left) and when/if Ski attempts to program them ... more power to him.

This in my mind should be a bannable or at least suspendable offence.
If it turns out that this is indeed dogturd in a microwave I for one motion that thechosenone should get a 90-180 day ban from fumbbl. |

I've put in a support ticket to the admins.
I'll give them the first option and then I'll drop the hammer if I do not get satisfaction. |

This is me with my responsible-member-of-the-community-hat on
Please note: Never try to say you "have a hat on" if you happen to have a bad Boston accent. It gets you slapped.
I strongly disagree that this is a bannable offense. Lack of gratitude and ill manners are, for better or worse, not against the rules. Morally and "legally" (by FUMBBL rules, that is) it is neither the right nor the responsibility of the admin staff to handle people's lack of interpersonal skills unless they manifest as directly abusive to another member of the community. He is not saying that he will find out where SkiJunkie lives so that he can beat him up, for example. I hope people can see the difference, as it seems pretty distinct to me.
The only possible exception to this would be Christer, who is ultimately responsible for the content of the site (since it resides on a server legally owned by him in his residence) and in any vaguely related situations in the past, Christer has always taken a very tolerant, hands-off approach.
This is me speaking as an individual from a non-representative position
Edit: mostly removed because I just read someone else saying the same thing and found it to be pretty ill-mannered. Nevermind this part, as I regret saying it.
I don't care if it's just an "online persona" rather than a "real" opinion, that's just a poor excuse to act like a jackass. |
