I have just started playing BB and am playing with a friend of mine that's been playing for a long time. We are debating Big Guys. He claims that Big Guys take-up four spaces on the board but I don't find that stated anywhere in the LRB4. Is he full of it and that was never the rule, is the rule a hold-over from an older edition and he needs to get with the times, or is that actually the rule?

They use 1 space.
In TableTop, they use a bigger base, due to their size, but still occupy 1 space. no RB at hand, so can't quote/ref the page, but it is in there, somewhere.

The rule of 4 squares is very old and doesnt exist anymore - he needs to update! |

Looks like he learn't the rules on a polystyrene board where it used to help you gang up on them.
Since the never version on a cardboard board Big guys only take up 1 square. |
