One of the things that I've noticed both while playing and surfing the forum is the opposition to turn 16 fouling (how could anyone not miss it).

I think this opposition is a bad thing.

I would also suggest that players who campain against it are cheating (mildly). It seems that the existence of the belief that turn 16 fouls should not happen is a pre-match agreement.
Worse, one that leads to you being attacked, insulted, and flamed for not following it (I consider all these things indication that I'm doing something right but others are more brittle).

A few points that support my argument:
1. Less turn 16 fouls means less injury to other team. That's only beneficial to you if it stops the other guy fouling you, a nicey, nicey agreement not to play properly.
2. Some players pick their games based on the opponents foul policy (and DP's). It seems they only want to play against people who will enter a pre-match agreement with them.

I also feel that the only reason this has become normal is due to coaches need to team build. I find this an important misconception of teambuilding. It's not about not getting hurt and making a great team. It's surely about getting mangled but still prevailing?

Oh and a smiley for luck Rolling Eyes

Your thoughts?

Nothing new...

On topic: It strongly depends wether you play in a tournament or not imho to foul in turn 16. A turn 16 foul in an open environment is totally pointless. Same goes for crodwpushes.

Manbush fouls, this means fouling is manly, case closed.

Update: where is the pie/macavity option?!

ok... maybe you didnt get it...

the fun in a competetive match is to win the game... what helps to win the game is good, what not helps to win the game is not good... t16 most likley dont help to win the game they are just rude...

+ its not pregame agreement to choose certain teams to play against, its exactly how ranked works...

+there is only one problem here... players who think fouling is not part of the game and then switch to "lets foul everything and always" because they still don't get it... you can go on with that course and noone will say a thing but i will honestly tell you ... it won't stop you from suck at this game...

I do like RagingGoblin's profile.

so far we have no self declared elves (of the wimpish kind)

Sysiphos, I know it's not a new topic. I know turn 16 fouls don't achieve much (unless a player is reclining on the floor in an inconvinient place). However, there is no good reason not to do them either.

Wreckage, I don't suck at this game (IMHO lol)

The only valide point for a t16 foul in an open environment is if you can achive a 2nd cas with it for the +1 on the ff roll...

You dont need a good reason not to do them anyway... you know, people talk and they talk about t16 foulers... and the numbers of coaches who like to play ya decreases...

You have 15 turns for that!

That is at least 15 blitzes, 3 blocks and 15 fouls Wink

reflection on being fouled:
if you make me laugth with it, your tr16 fouls will be welcomed

if you try to kill me of boredom in game and also try to make damage with pointless fouls and crowpushes when the match is solved, I'll become disgusted... because I don't want to die of boredom

something in the middle I can wistand, but don't spect me to be really happy

(violence to win is good, violence to make the game fun and fun for both coaches is very good, anithing else is pointless imho)

Turn 16 fouls do not accomplish anything. By that point, an extra foul is not going to change the outcome of the game and might just signal to the opponent that you get frustrated easily or hate to lose THAT much. Therefore, a turn 16 foul might just stop you from playing that person again.

BTW.... there are such things as 'strategic' T16 fouls. Classic example is the prone witchelf 6 squares away from the endzone. She gets a boot. Another example I have seen is when AFK_Eagle fouled a one turner before scoring on T16. He ended up SI'ing the creature and won the game.
