Bug Description:
This bug occurred in this game replay.
My team kicked the ball in turn 0/0 of the second half, and received a blitz. I executed my blitz and then ended turn to proceed with the ball being kicked off. The ball scatter onto my opponents player on the line, and he failed his catch, causing the ball to bounce across the LoS into my half. I was then awarded the touchback instead of the receiving team, and was able to give it to any of my players.
Steps leading up to bug:
1)Kick the ball to the centre and have the ball scatter 6 squares to a player in a tackle zone on the LoS.
2)Receive blitz on the kick-off table, complete your blitz moves, and end turn.
3)Have the opponents player under the ball on the LoS fail his catch attempt, and have the ball scatter into your half. |

This just happened to me too but on a Perfect defense rather than a Blitz... opponent was not impressed! |

Turn 0/0, First half. Opponent kicked a touchback and then selected one of his players to receive the ball.
Later in the game (3/3, Second half) he kicked a second touchback to me and claimed his mouse cursor turned into the one with the ball, indicating he could choose one of his players to receive the touchback (although he graciously let me select one of my players ).
Both occurrences were after Perfect Defence. Both cases the ball was not near the LOS. I have been unable to replicate this bug in testing. |
