After being the victim of two pitch invasions in my last two games, which completely ruined my chances both games as well as causing serious injuries to my players, I need to vent.
IMO, while they might be a 'fun' random event they tend to ruin the game.
My luck is execrable at the moment, with opposing teams blitzing two out of three kickoffs. I have had one blitz event when kicking in all my games so far...about twenty games.
How do other people feel about pitch invasions and am I the only player with continuous horrible luck with random events?

PIs can be devastating, to be certain. Thankfully, it sounds as though this will be changed such that the worst injury will be a stun.
BTW, nice use of the fancy word "execrable".

yeah I guess we all feel the same when it happens to us - but I love it when it happens to my opponent - then I can gang 8 players around one of his prone players and put him in rip - thats how I vent my Pi´s - I save them for the next opponent:D |

When I created my 1st team here on Fumbbl, I ignored the advice to invest in a high fan factor. So my lizardman team was mostly on the receiving end of a pitch invasion. It's especially bitter, when the pitch invasion is rolled twice in a match.
I took such experience twice. |

Two Pit Invasions in an row is not funny at all.
1st Invasion. 2 SI, 4BH. 2 Players left on the Field
2nd Invasion direct after the 1st one. 1 Player left.
This Game realy Hurts

Although not as directly devestating to the team, the other guy getting 3 perfect defenses in a row, esp when you're undermanned to start a drive, just kills any chance you have of doing anything.
Can't wait til the new rules come in to change blitz! to mostly just movement and one single blocking action, instead of the potential pitch-clearing action it currently is. That and the on-pitch take root; my woodies lost their most recent match in part to the tree missing the first half, I'm convinced. He might've only gotten one single hit per drive had he been there standing rooted in place, but vs rookie linerats it might've been enough to cause some damage and even the odds a bit... |

I just wanted to mention another potentially game and team destroying random event...'Get the Ref'.
This event is potentially even more devastating to a team than a pitch invasion.
It is basically a license to tear the opposing team to pieces over many, many turns. I have had teams totally destroyed this way.
Would be nice to see this toned down in future as well...perhaps the 'Get the Ref' might only last to the next kickoff?
Also, why can players kill themselves when 'Going for it'...seems a tad silly.
Anyway, still a great game but with a few rule refinements it could be better. |

This one is now" officially " changed but the client has not caught up , from now on if the ref is got its a free for all fouling bonanza .
How to die going for it
(Heart Attacks , triping up and landing on a sharp pointy thing someone in the crowd haschucked on , falling over landing on your head, tripping up spiltting your gonad sack and losing the will to live ) |

LOl ...Umm maybe a new thread for the best way to die going for it -
A pitch invasion by a horde of Amazonian Giants demanding Snu-Snu ( I know this could happen at anytime but is more likely to happen when you are showing off ) |
