To me it looks like if you break armor on first try and use PO to reroll the failed injury, you actually start from the armor-roll again.
It would also be good to see what the armor rolled the first time, as that is the case of all other rolls (dodge roll: 1, reroll using dodge, dodge roll: 3)
If it would do that, it would be easier to see if MB was used on the armor or not when you get the question if you want to reroll the injury. |
Yep, in the current version it's working like that. It restarts the entire injury sequence (up to regaining MB on the first check).
Here's a paste from my current game.
Ransu blocks Ego the Living Planet:
Block Roll [ POW ] [ POW ]
Block Result [ POW ]
Armour Roll [ 5 ][ 6 ]
Rolled Total of 11
The armour of Ego the Living Planet has been broken.
Injury Roll [ 1 ][ 2 ]
Rolled Total of 3 +1 Mighty Blow = 4
Ego the Living Planet has been stunned.
Ransu uses Piling On to re-roll Armor.
Armour Roll [ 2 ][ 1 ]
Rolled Total of 3 + 1 Mighty Blow = 4
Ego the Living Planet has been saved by his Armour. |

Being able to RR the injury roll is always the better option if available, but if you are up against higher armor, say 7+, and can break it using MB, use it. Rerolling that armor isn't going to help as much. It also depends how badly, tactically, it is for your guy to be prone. |
There's also never a way to increase your chance of causing a CAS by rerolling armor, if MB would break it automatically.
Assuming AV2 (maximum "benefit" for saving MB to the injury), no stunty/niggle:
Roll 1+1 => use MB & PO injury =
5/12 KO/CAS + 7/12*5/12 KO/CAS = about 65%
Reroll armor & use MB =
35/36*7/12 + 1/36*5/12 = about 56% |
