Black Demons won their first bloody game vs Seahawk Clan: 2-1

The Black Demons lost Alvaro during a pitch invasion, Seahawk Clan lost a lineelf as well. Unfortunately both apothecaries missed this game. The Rumor is that they went on holiday with commissioner Mully.

Alcaro was killed by the High Elf fans, of course he was awarded MVP with this heroic death.

Sorry, guess I should have posted this earlier.

29/07 Slaves of Chaos first league game vs the Dwarf team Kadrin Kannons (Lost 1-2 in O/T, 11 spp)
Best game so far, almost pulled off the upset. Kannons scored in turn 8 of the 2nd half to send it to overtime where we had absolutely no chance with 11 dwarves vs 7 unskilled beasts. Ended up with 1 beast on the field at the end. The stubborn goats actually scored a TD this game so I may have to reward them with a shorter beating than usual. Khorne was happy with the way we held our own and saw fit to grant me an assistant after the game, Psycho the Watchman joined the team to assist in keeping these mongrels on a tight leash. - Soulsplitter the Overseer

Sinister Urge 1 vs Bullz on Parade 2 OT

A hard fought slugfest. The CDs started with the ball but quickly lost it when the cage broke down. The blodging Ghoul made a nice pickup but was soon POWed into the ground. BOP was then able to stall away the last 4 turns of the half as Urge could not mount a threat towards the goal line.

Down 1-0 the Necros tried to advance. Good def once again forced a loose ball but SU was able to get it back. A tight battle ensued but a skull enabled SU to tie the score in T8 for OT. SU won the toss but a BLITZ ruined any plans for a structured offense. A double pow block reroll double skull sealed their fate as the POW magnet Ghoul blodger was again knocked down and had the ball stolen.

A filthy hobgob picked it up and scored the winning TD.

Necros start 0-1, but we'll be back.

Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team 1 - 2 Kadrin's Kannons (OT)
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=455422

Frank had a little "talk" with Riff Raff before the game today after which our faithful handyman decided he could probably manage to take the field, so things were looking up for the unconventional conventioneers. Then we saw our opponent. A bunch of short, bearded mundanes had crashed the party! They wanted to Madison! They made unkind remarks about Janet's status as a zombie! We knew we were in for a game we were going to remember for a very long time.

Our worst fears were confirmed when, just before the first kick-off, the Dwarf fans dragged the ref into the stands and had a little "discussion" with him. Strangely, afterwards no matter what the stumpies did to us the referee always seemed to be looking somewhere else at the time while Benny Backache got banned from the game for giving Egor Elf-Eater a little love tap that he barely noticed. All told the Dwarves' beardy play resulted in a KO on Rocky Horror ("Oh Rocky!"), a stunned Brad Majors and Riff Raff, a BH on Riff Raff (knew he'd find a way to get out of the game...) and a couple of noogies to Eddie and, again, Riff Raff; you'd think an AG4 Werewolf was a threat or something.... And, as if we weren't having enough fun with the fouls, The Criminologist was badly hurt by Theodore Thickskull (guess he didn't want to be taken on a strange journey after all...) and Dr. Everett Von Scott seriously injured himself throwing, for reasons best known only to himself, a one-die block against Harry Headsplitter, smashing his hip, ending his career and raising the question, what was a man in a wheelchair doing on the pitch in the first place?

The Kannons scored fairly early in the first half. They wanted to stall but a nearby Werewolf persuaded them to continue on to the endzone and continue with the carnage. The Dwarves had an opportunity for a second TD in the first half when former President Nixon, as always a very mixed blessing for the team, misthrew the ball but, deciding there wasn't enough Necro blood on the field, Sigmund Stonecutter rushed Eddie before the ball carrier could move close enough to get into scoring position for the next, and last, turn, failed his dauntless roll and was swatted to the ground by one mighty swing of Eddie's saxaphone. In perhaps the only satisfying moment of the half, Janet Weiss ("Slut!") followed this performance up with a kick to the head which sent the Troll Slayer into the KO box for a good deal of the second half.

The second half arrived, along with with a ref with a clean set of underwear, and the reign of terror, or at least fouls, was ended. As our passing game wasn't going anywhere, we decided to run the ball down the field and, after getting everybody tangled up in the middle, Tricky Dick managed to slip away from the pack in turn 3 and get far enough away from the stunty-legged dorfs that he could safely stall and score in turn 5 to tie the game. We set up again, and again the dorf fans proved a bunch of barbarians -- tossing out a rock that stunned poor Betty Munroe, and the deadites managed to kick the ball deeply enough and tied things up well enough that, with the help of Barney Beardcomber II ending a turn early with a double skull block, the Kannons weren't able to score. We'd done it! It was only a tie but after all we'd been through it tasted like sweet victory!

What's this? You're kidding! Overtime?!? Whose bright idea was this?

Just as we thought it was over they pulled us back in. Luck was on our side, or so we thought, though and we were selected to receive the kick and everyone who could return to the pitch, had. The kick was deep, which seemed ok at the time -- it'd take the dorfs stunty legs longer to get them to it if something, like, say, Eddie failing a block should go wrong. Ok, so we had a couple of dorfs in our backfield, no problem, Nixon'd just scoop up the ball and.... oops, he dropped it. The dwarves get a little closer. While most of the team scraps at mid-field, Tricky Dick goes for the ball again. The way things are at the moment aren't great but we do have a flesh golem open and even if he drops the ball it'll still be downfield and the Kannons will have to struggle to bring it back. Nixon drops the ball. Again. Well the dorfs are in range now and Nixon is blitzed and knocked down by Hector Hardhead who is now standing just in front of the ball which is lying in the endzone. Barney Beardcomber II manages to end the turn with another skull block against Dr. Frank before anyone else can get the ball and score. In desperation Nixon attempts, and succeeds, to dodge into the endzone next to Hardhead figuring that, while he may not succeed in getting the ball he might knock it into the crowd which could move it downfield for him. No such luck. The ball bounces to Hardhead and then behind him. Hardhead sends Nixon crowd surfing after which Virgil the Voyager bobbled the ball but managed to keep hold of it and score the winning TD.

Sinister Urge 3 vs Illusion 2

All is right in the world again. The Urge watched elves fumble and trip on the way to a 2-0 halftime lead. After a strong start by SU to the 2nd half, the dark elf coach began shouting insults to the crowd, hoping to start a riot and end the game. SU quickly scored again for the 3-0 lead and coach Mully got into the taunting as well, happy enough with a 3-0 win.

Then the elves struck with a nice TD to their Witch Elf for their 1st score of the game. Overcome with jubilation the elf fans stormed the pitch and KOed 3 stunned necros. Qucikly we lost the ball again and Illusion scored for the 3-2 final.

Post game was nice. Apparently we killed a fan during the PI and got our FF back to 10. Our leading SPP gainer (Invisible Touch) gained some agility and our pet wolf #2 learned to dodge, but forgot he didnt know how to block yet.

Oh well. No longer winless. Yippee!

Riverbottom Nightmare Band 1 vs Scurvey Lads of Yore 0

The two biggest names in the league (and I'm only talking letters) got together for a good old fashioned bash up. The Band sent 6 bone piles into the Badly Hurt box but the Scurvey Lads stole one of our goats! While they spent the day KOing at will they saved the real pain for T7 of the 2nd half when they began the turn with a SI on a CW and then Killed HarrisonFox! The TD was more of an afterthought for the Band then a great play...but it sends the kids furthur up the charts and for this they rejoice.
Well played ye Piratey guys and better luck in round 3 Wink

VIEWS FROM ABOVE

NA I
One again short, stubby creatures lead the pack early. Beholden's dwarves have already gone through the divisions 2 best competitors and look like an early favorite to make the playoffs. Stud dwarf Virgil the Voyager currently has a league leading 3 TDs. (what is it about dwarves leading in TDs in my leagues?). This is probably the weakest division overall as WWB veterans Lurking Grue, Game Avatar, and Caileanhawk, are more worried about their fading coaching careeers then short term goals of winning the MLB Championship.

NA II
Bullz on Parade have already proven they are the team to beat in the division. The rest of the division looks fairly even so early in the season.

Euro
With 2 Orcs and a CD teams in this division, it's the surprise amazons Cartoonettes that are leading at 2-0. Sideshowbob's girls have shut out their 1st 2 opponents. This looks like the toughest division in the league and injuries have already taken their toll on a few of the teams. Eric The Red (Northern Raiders) leads the league in CAS (3) and Cartoonettes' Eualia is 2nd in SPPs with 10.

Aussie
Ozjesting is out to prove that not ALL Chaos suck at low TR as they have started at 2-0 and knocked off the division favorite Scurvy Lads of Yore 1-0. Chuck is the league's top SPP player so far with 10, thanks to a league high 3 CAS. These 2 teams should be the Aussie reps in the MLB playoffs. Tepoc's Chosen is a veteran of WWB season #1 but continues to face tough injury luck and may be doomed to the MLB forever.

Has the necromancer in charge the Sinsiter Urge totally lost his mind? One might understand how so much time spent with mindless constructs might rub off on their coach. On the other hand, has he been imbibing a little too much on the zombie’s embalming fluid perhaps?

Whatever the cause this nonsense about fading coaching careers cannot go unanswered. The Warriors of Woe will gladly accept this challenge and prove their worth by thrashing Sinister Urge as soon as the league commissioner can arrange the grudge match. If the afore-mentioned coach is to afraid to play us then the Warriors shall make it a point to win their division if for no other reason then for the chance to meet Sinister Urge on the pitch and send them back to the stinking pits from which they came! That is if Invisible Urge can even get them to the playoffs at all …

VIEWS FROM ABOVE

NA I
Week #3 will see the 2 undefeated teams in the division go head to head for 1st. With a gaudy 9 TDs, the Warriors of Woe lead the league in scoring. Stud Calinn Leafturner has 2 TDs and 12 SPPs and 3 elves are in the top 10 in scoring. However, they achieved that mark feasting on the dregs of the division. (Apologies to all who resemble that remark). Please welcome the DEs of Stargzrrag to the league. (He asked to be put in the easiest division.)

NA II
Bullz on Parade bullied the Orcs of Anchorhead into submission with the help of some boots and a senile ref. Woe to the AV8 teams out there. Some say Illusion 's defense is indeed an Illusion as they have allowed the 2nd most TDs in the league so far. Please welcome Shaqpooh and his NY Giants to the league. Shaq asked to be in NA II so he could bond with his bitches .... or was it beat on his bitches..... oh well

Euro
The 2 top dogs in this division also play this week. A classic battle of beauty (Cartoonettes) vs the beast (Black Demons). Meanwhile Uberlugli's CDs try and restore some pride in the race with a showdown vs Azmo's Orcs. Hats off to the Euros who were the only division to play all their games so far. The Seahawk clan with their paper armor must face top Cas leader Eric the Red of the Northern Raiders. Ha, lots of luck.

Aussie
RB Nightmare Band has started off a strong 2-0 and now gets to play the little old ladies of the division in week #3 (Quod's Warpies). Chuck is on fire with 3 Cas and 13 SPPs overall to lead the league. It's Chaos vs Chaos, but that's as far as the similarities go. Congrats to Tepoc's Chosen who won their 1st game in 2 years of Mully league play!!!

An excerpt from an interview of the woodies concerning their upcoming match against the dwarves …

“The elves of WOW are ready to bash the upstart dwarves of Kadrin Kannons for supremacy of NA Division I. How dare these slow, short, stocky stuble-faced sons of the earth think they they have what it takes to win the cup?! So what if they are heavily armored, skilled blockers, and expert tacklers … we’re still going to thrash ‘em!”
Malendil Spawnslayer, Wardancer

“I’d settle for outscoring them and getting another win.”
Liannor Freespirit, Catcher

“Forget all that nonsense, I just want to survive.”
