OCCS Orca-Cola Classic Round 1.
Comin into this game a heavy underdog I hoped for some good handis to help even it out. My wish came true in virus droppin 1 guy and greatest keepin his highest skilled vamps from playin together. He got the ball to start and slowly wore away at the D until finally scoring in turn 6. I got the ball, went with a 4 WR set and spread his D, findin my way in a quick strike TD to end the half.
The second half began with me breakin thru a weak spot and grindin out a TD, unfortunately burnin most my rerolls to get there. He got the ball back with a few turns left and I managed to stonewall him due to a ill-timed dodge fail. The lack of rerolls cost me as a key block failed in turn 8 allowing him to score as time expired.
Overtime came with him getting the ball. I decided to play it aggressive instead of tryin to wear him down and almost succeeded! In the end, his +ST vamps turned the tide (with expert use of his Jedi Mind Trick) and he scored the winning TD on Turn 6!
Outstanding game that started intense and never let up! I may have hurt him a little too much for him to get the win next round but good luck Steel!

In this game the attacking zombie hordes squished two little gobbos, but no new zombies due to stunty.

And in this game we continued our offense and got rid of the King!
Who was later re-animated by the necromancer.

The king is dead, long live the king!

McBonehead Open Match 1.
The zombies slowly marched their way towards town, coming upon the goblin defenses. They swarmed up and over, sending small green bodies flying. Luckily for the goblins, the zombies pushed past as if commanded to continue on. Xentar was the lone goblin lost to the horde, standing tall in battle even though surrounded. The zombies feasted on his flsh before continuing into town.
Who will stop them?

Happened in McBoneHead '10

Zombie horde continued it's offence!
This time the skilled high elves Ghost Buster Pansies were against them.

The elves were confident on their win, but these undead abominations were just too much for them today.
Elves suffered 5 casualties, 2 SI's and 3 deaths(!)
And from the pile of dead elves, Guillaume raised to fight his former kin! He also got MVP so it looks rather clear that the crowd is supporting zombie invasion! Very Happy

Albion Regional Challenge 02/10 - round 2
------------------------------------------------------------
The second round of the Albion Regional Challenge offered what might be one of the most dramatic matches in it's history.

The two teams looked evenly balanced from the start, with Wrath having some specialist skellies while the Goua'uld had tougher mummies and two dirty players. The odds changed right from the start though, when Wrath suffered Morley's which hit two of the mummies, Anakha the Eternal and Sekhet Imune. The agile Agymah also niggled out.

The tough start for the Wrath's got worse when virtually the entire first half was one long torment of missed chances and rough casualties. What looked like a good situation to crowd surf two of the opponents best players turned out to be a big distraction (due to freak dice rolls, succesful -2d blocks, double skulls etc) that allowed the Goa'uld to advance down the other flank. By the time they walked in their TD at the end of the half the match allready looked decided.

For the second half the Wrath players pulled themselves together. Fortunate KO rolls, no Morley's and one of the opponents mummies staying KO'd gave them the chance for revenge, and they took it right from the start. The Wrath players came out swinging with Nesemu scoring a fatality on the able thro-ra Rya'c and another getting cleared from the pitch.

The Goa'uld wasn't just going to take punishment though and targeted Anakha, who was allready weakened from his virus. He was badly injured early on in the half. The Wrath players had the edge though and fouled out a mummy and RIP'ed the opponents kicker while moving down the pitch. Cas after cas rolled in, but it looked to be in vain. Except for the fatalities Flashback's boys had a scary high regeneration rate and the match was going to OT after Onuris scoring late.

Yet again the Wrath had fortunate KO and Morley rolls, giving them 10 players vs the opponents 9. They started with the ball though, a crucial advantage when two khemri teams meet. Or so it would seem. But the Wrath were on fire by now, blitzing right from the start and bypassing the opponents defenses, tying up their players in their back field. Here the added +MA and +AG really paid off. The Goa'uld did their best to get the ball forward, but a sneaky move allowed Nesemu to blitz down the ball carrier while the agile Onuris swooped in for a snatch n run maneuver. An opponent skillfully dodged away from his cover and caught up with him, but he was soon blitzed down by the fast moving Elahbi, and Onuris could run in his 2nd TD and end the match.

A fantastic recovery for Wrath of Amu Nesehu and a dramatic turn of luck in a match that should have pleased the crowd. (Apart from the haters who boo'd my every move, hehe)

Thanks for the match, Flashback! I asked myself why I ever play this game in the first half, but it's when matches turn around like this that keeps drawing me back like a frustrated moth to the flame Smile
See you around!

Bah! A plague of cancer and public ridicule on your team! (it's an inside joke)

Antipodal Regional Shield 02/10 - semi-final
-------------------------------------------------------------
This is about as exciting as a match can get. What looked like a real uphill struggle, with Cyrus-Havoc and his Oldboys having all the margins on their side, ended in a surprising victory for the Desolates.

Desolates started with the ball, but had a bad first half where they were single handedly stopped by the amazing Frank Stine, who with his blodging powers and seemingly unbeatable armor held back the greenskins advance. Paired with some very crucial RS failures by Kugash this looked like "one of those days", or as I like to call them, a regular day.

The first half fizzled to nothing, just as the wizard's fire ball and the mighty ST black orc Kagor was lost to a foul.

In the 2nd half the undead advanced and they still looked impossible to get to. Every time an opening appeared to get to the ball carrier, a zombie made a dodge or man to man wrestled an orc to the ground to cover it. Little could be done to stop them from scoring in T6.

But something happened after the TD. The greenskins got their act together and came out with a determined look in their eyes. The mighty Frank Stine was beaten to death on the LOS and the other flesh golem was smashed out (although regenerated) as the greenskins lunged forward.

With time running out things looked desperate, when suddenly a warewolf was distracted by the attractive prey of the goblin Bogit and left the rookie lineman Erork with just one blocker in the offensive zone. A black orc ran forward and smashed the defender to his knees, while Gokkur handed Erork the ball to run in it, with just seconds to spare of the regular match time.

In OT the Desolates had the moral advantage and one man more on the pitch, but the Oldboys started with the ball. Realizing that they couldn't win a bashing game at this state they bet all they had on a quick TD run right from the kick-off. The ball carrying warewolf was blitzed down though and Gokkur could recover the ball. The Desolates used their numerical advantage and cut individual players off while Gokkur and a few others made their way towards the end zone line.

But they weren't fast enough. Desperate blocks and dodges from the Oldboys held them in the game and a one on one blitz from the agile ghoul Hugh Silo brought Gokkur down, with the ghoul snatching up the ball. He didn't come far though, as he was blitzed down the following turn and Gokkur could yet again recover it.

With time running out it came to a dramatic ending. A warewolf threw himself in the way of Gokkur, but the orc dodged away with mobility more suited to an elf and could rush past the end zone line just before the OT clock ran.

A glorious comeback from the Desolates! They will now face the seemingly unbeatable GeneralMarauder in the final!

Thanks for the match, Cyrus. This was the best match of 2010 so far. Very exciting and fun!
