To my mind, any organised blood bowl is a 'league' and then it's up to the person organising that league to decide what rules to apply. I don't see any downside to having optional rules, personally.

I mean, so what if piling on is now optional? We just decide to use it, or not. Which is just what we can do now Very Happy

The commissioner's word is law. Everything is optional. Mr. Green

Really hope we implement that particular rule. Is that a fair comment?

If you squint hard enough at the pictures on the GW site you can see a small portion of some of these rules. Just saying.

There's some fun stuff about the Orcland Raiders looks like some optional rules about running a team which gets up to dastardly things. I won't write it down here because in trying to summarise I'll mistakenly give the impression it's a core rule. Looks a bit like the sort of situational challenges you get on computer games where you get a roster and some specific rules for that game/games.

The skaven team looks as normal.

The bit I can read of the rules also looks fairly normal.

Blimey, you've got good eyes. I can't make out the text (on a tablet), but I'll take your word for it.

Looking forward to getting my mits on the real thing. Smile

(I'm not sure if we're allowed to link GW stuff. Certainly not the .pdf on the 25th, but I guess a link to buying the product might be OK?)

I figured advertising their product would be OK. If not I will delete.

I thought linking was fine but hosting was a no-no? Could be wrong though.

I get confused. I thought after the C&D we weren't allowed to host or link to anything (perhaps over cautiously). Then links to other sites hosting the rules were deemed OK. Now I don't know where the line is, although hosting pictures of minis as player pics I know is a no. Smile You're staff, I trust you!

Yeah, the DZ index lists High, Dark, Wood and Union Elven teams, so the moniker 'Pro' is no more. BoLS have put out a number of BB articles in the run up to release, most so bad they must be deliberately trying to stir controversy. I recommend heaps of salt in general, although this seems legit.

Edit: A-ha, that link has a photo of the index. I'd not been able to find it earlier. Good spot.

Let's see. Probably a change/enrichment in fluff, and there's also the chance of roster changes, but probably more or less the Elf roster.

It's just speculation, so your guess is as good as ours.
