** Milford from the Fumbbl Cup HQ **
Well Fumbbl fans the scene is getting set in Altdorf for the Fumbbl Cup. Teams are rolling in and the early arrivers are allready filling up the hotels and local pubs. The city is buzzing with activity as one of the biggest events in the captial is about to start.
Lord PurpleChest has set up the FC HQ at the posh Emperor's Resort/Hotel/Casino right on the river Reik. Of course only the best for the comish as he is currently residing in the Emperor's suite, a meager 2,800 GC a night. Thank Nuffle that the tourney will sponsor dynamic gold so all the coaches and teams dont feel left out on the wealth being thrown around like candy.
I just left a meeting were the FC committe has released the pitches that will be used during the tourney. The locals dont want the venues to be loaned out so to speak so all the pitches will be in Altdorf proper. They figure 50 fields should be enough to get in all the early round games and as the field of teams gets knocked out move all the teams to the Epic Reikland Stadium, the crown jewel of blood bowl teams, and home to the Reikland Reavers. Of course the Altdorf old bowl will get heavy use. The majority of fields will be on the outskirts of town in fields and at current fields used by the local league teams.
There are two fields that are causing a big stir right now.
The Row of pain pitch is up and running. It is a pitch that was sponsered and paid for by the local tavern owners. The pitch will be in the middle of the row, flanked on both sides by the local taverns,pubs and bars. The field will be cobblestone so be sure to bring some extra armor if you play on this pitch. Also the locals have sworn that the throw a beer bottle kick off result will not be in effect at this pitch. They say they will not get out of hand and all intoxicated fans will be ushered out of the area. Anyone believe this? Also the fans will be divided by who they support. Box team supporters will be on the East side and Ranked on the West. SO expect some rowdy cross talk from the fans. The supporters of the Row pitch have asked that only Box VS Ranked games be played in the Row and it seems that PC has agreed. SO if you are willing to wade through the riff raff and drunks in the Row come on down and support your team. Some are allready billing this pitch as the royal smack down of the FC and will settle some of the arguments of Box VS Ranked. Not really but that is what they are saying. So support the local economy and come down to the row, get a pint or 5 and watch some serious blood bowl on the cobblestone streets.
The other pitch that is causing the biggest out cry is the local fishmongers union #521 have sponsored a stadium at the local wharf. The pitch will be on pier #37 which unloads all the local fish and seashells. The problem with the pitch is that on three sides there are no stands only open water of the Reik. A lot of coaches have complained that this is unfair as none of their players can swim! coupled with the armor it is a death sentence if they are pushed off the pitch. Of course the proponets of this new and unique pitch argue dont go near the sideline and you will be ok and this is blood bowl man!. Word is that the FC pitch committe has not officially stated if this pitch will be used. Allmost certain death of a player getting pushed off the dock just does not sit well with the committe. The back up pitch as proposed by the Fishmonger union is in their main facility were they gut and clean all the fish. Dont expect large crowds if this pitch is were the events will be held. |

Interesting event I just witnessed. I was sitting at the corner cafe having a shot of whiskey with my over priced coffee when I witnessed this event. I heard some yelling and looked up to see coach Russo being hauled out of his hotel in a straight jacket. He was yelling about the end of days and that Nuffle was coming to reap his harvest. He then became very morose and apologized for interupting this nice lovely day and making a "scene". And then he tried to run down the street and get away from the authorities with both hands tied behind his back. They rounded him up and threw him in the back of the paddy wagon headed to the loony toon farm.
So I quess that means Russo is "out" for the FC. Hopefully he gains his sanity back before they send him off to the northern wastes with a group of flaggelants. |

Oh nuffle, I just went to a training ground near the Altenburg drainage system to see Fumbbl´s popular Pro Elves Popes of Mope train for the tourney.
But they must have moved on to a better training ground, i just found bones and some pieces of fur. Weird... |

Red vs [B]lue the first human team to win a tournament in the [B]ox is entering the FC! With 5 MB's (2 with tackle for the woodies  ) 4 guard and a nice 3 Dps (which is hard to get games with in ranked) not built quite how i wanted but i think they shall do ok against any opposition. Would like a bit more than 150k in the bank but you never know i might get a couple of "easy" games to boost that.

I hope those hellfishes and Buc's will make an apperance this year! (all human final anyone?) |

Wow it seems the Altdorf government sponsors the human teams generously. Those pirate lasses sure have a nice treasure chest on their ship. Will we see the first human team to take home the Fumbbl cup? |

The Blood Sea Buccaneers are allready in Altdorf primed and ready. They cant wait for their favorite crew of ladies to finally arrive at the tourney.
All supporters are more than welcome to join the Buccaneers every night in the Row at Main Sail Tavern for a toast and a round of ale on the Buccaneers. Iam sure the ladies of Booty Pirate will be in attendance. |
