Thinking about the pact abuse team, here's what I think would do fairly well:
11 marauders
1 dark elf
3 RRs
= 830k
leaving 270k spare which gives 9 bonus points for skills to a total of 21 pts.
Marauder w/ block, tackle, MB, claw, PO = 5 points
Elf w/ block, dodge, sure hands = 3 points
Marauder w/ block, leader = 2 point
Marauder w/ block, guard = 2 points
3x Marauder w/ MB, claw, PO = 9 points
3x unskilled Marauders
Fairly nasty
edit: probably change one mb/claw/PO guy to mb/tackle/po for better balance |

The Marauder team for me is:
1 Dark Elf (70K)
11 Maraduers (550K)
2 Rerolls (140K)
11 extra skill points (330K)
1 Blodge Elf (2)
1 guy with Leader (1)
2 guys with Block, Clawpomb, Guard (10)
2 guys with Block, Clawpomb, Tackle (10)
This is horrendous, but there are other gimmicks that might do well against it. A rookie Khemri team would give these guys trouble, they just won't be able to 2D the Tomb Guardians. Anything agile with a turnover monster could go 2-0 up before everything died (Skaven, WEs). Sometimes Clawpomb just doesn't hit early enough to make a difference. |

Cool, I can nose at other peoples teams first (presumably they know what they are doing!).
You can add my mate as interested too, "Jon Boy". |

I'm interested .
I don't think my beloved lizards will do that well, but I'd like to have a go anyway. |

You won't be able to see other people's teams until the day, I'm afraid - unless they tell you!
I'm thinking about taking rats with a MA+ sprint SF catch GR, and some wrestle+SB action for some crazy dice rolling fun.
Hito - goo to have you along! Are you near Mansfield? Lizzies are a good race at TV110, although they don't get many skills. A block, BT, guard, MB, tackle saurus would be a bit scary. |

why dont you go for a rsoter like this for your lizzies.
1 Krox - Stand Firm
1 Saurus - no skill
4 Saurus - Block
1 Saurus - Block, MIghty Blow, Break Tackle, Tackle, Surehands
4 skinks
3 Re-roll
You could also drop a RR and have
1 Krox - Stand Firm
1 Saurus - Block, surehands, +AG
2 Saurus - no skills
2 Saurus - Block
1 Saurus - Block, MB, Break Tackle, Tackle, Frenzy
4 Skinks
2 Re-roll
That could be loads of fun. |

Hmm.
The roster I was looking at was
1 Saurus - block, bt, mb, tackle, frenzy
4 Saurus - block
1 Saurus - no skills
1 skink - +ag, block
4 skinks - no skills
1 AC
1 CL
2 rerolls
(buying the skills)
I reckon at rookie TV, a +ag block skink is better than a Krox.
I'm based in Shrewsbury, but I went to uni in Notts recently (and despite playing on FUMBBL and the Notts Uni wargaming society bloodbowl league) managed to avoid going to any BB tournament there in the entire 3 years XD. It isn't far to travel, and I can probably steal a uni friends couch. |

Personally I would definately want a Saurus ball carrier in this tourney, there will definately be plenty of Wrestle, strip ball, Gutter Runners and nasty Strip Ball Wood elves leaping everywhere.
But I guess it is down to how you like to play with them. I like to carry the ball with a Saurus if I can. St4 SH and Block is a pretty nasty ball carrier for anyone to deal with.
I also think if you drop the Krox you could have more skills than you have picked in your roster. Although I may have miss read the rules
Edit: actually I miss counted, I think your roster is right , but I'd still want some SH somewhere personally. |

The special Star Bowl Block dice have now arrived.
Everyone who takes part in the star bowl will get a set of the white pearl ones and the red and black ones will be given away as prizes.
I'll be bringing some of the white ones with me to the NAF GT so if you have paid by then you can get them early.

Ive laid out rosters for dark elves and high elves but am increasingly intrigued by taking vampires, a roster such as;
3x Vampire, 8x Thrall - 650k players
210k 3x reroll
240k 8x skill points
20 skill points to spend
Vampire - remove ofab, +AG, Block, Dodge
Vampire - remove ofab, Block, Guard, Tackle/Dodge
Vampire - remove ofab, Block, Guard, Dodge
Might be fun |

Being the spare man, if I have to play, it'll be low thought Goblins.
I have a couple of ideas, mega Pogo, another guy's gimmick I'm not going to copy; anyone think of anything mad and novel if I have to play? |
