Tackle
Simply overpowering.
one or two players with it mean a headache. a whole team is completely nuts.
Tackle exists only to counter Dodge.
Tackle needs either a counter-counter skill or to assign a die roll to it. Just a simple 4+ roll should do.

I like the sidestep/jumpup combo, readily available on witches or with a single double on other elves. True, you leave yourself open to fouling potentially, but it's also a great cage breaker when you can add in strip-ball; assuming you aren't stunned or worse, you'll have a better shot to try to take the ball away--block with the jumpup block is generally far easier than trying to dodge in with a blitz to do the same thing... |

mmm, blodge, sidestep, shadowing, tackle makes a mighty fine high elf catcher ....
too bad about the block guard tackle mb pro blitzer coming his way....
(followed by one of those lovely DP orcs if he does go down).

Sure, it takes 5 guys, but it feels sooo good. |
I'm sure it was worth it

Not really. I play 'flings a lot. Tackle teams are almost the worst thing I have to face.
I just wish Diving Tackle was as useful as Tackle. Tackle takes a doubles roll for my 'flings. |

That's what the juggernaut skill is for. |

It most certainly does...unless it's just been done to you. However, it does give you a warm and fuzzy feeling when that snooty elf who thinks he's safe on the sidelines goes crowd surfing.
As for standfirm, I've only seen one of those crowd pushed in my time. It's a bit tough to set up... |

How is it possible to crowd push a stand firm?
I must have missed something in the rules but the LRB states:
Quote: |
If a player is pushed back into a player with Stand Firm then neither player moves.

Zredna, just curious |

It used to be possible, but now it no longer is, since Ski corrected that little exploit. |

It's a bug in the client, when you push a player and the 3 players on which he can be pushed have stand firm you can actually push one of the 3 even though stand firm doesn't allow it normally, this resulting in a possible crowd push. It's because of the way stand firm was programmed. |
