Skavens Ben have won group Scrubba! They triumphed over the Rangateer Puffins in what turned out to be the FIRST game played in this group(!), a match that saw both teams qualify and collect some much needed SPP's before the quater-finals. With less than a week of group games still to play we are almost to knockout time people!

Well the Puffins didn't have much trouble getting through to the next stages, only one game which resulted in a hammering from the fast dodging skaven of Ben. The Puffins are pumped and ready for the next match up, having only played one game there getting very anxious. Whoever is next better be ready for a brutal game. A full team and a deadly claw addition to the team, Its gona be a blood bath who ever comes in the way of the puffins next. See you in the final blockbuster, then ill get my revenge!! GRRRR!!

P.S Am away on Sunday 23/07/06 down to the mainland to take my son to the hospital but will be back on the following Sunday Morning 30/07/06. So that should give me pleanty of time for my next game (I think, if i have the dates for the next stage right.) So am sorry if i don't reply to your PMs until next sunday and its not me trying to dodge the game. Good Luck everybody.

Chemical Waste win group Begga with a 4-0 victory over the BashBruthers in a dice decided matchup. Coach Purplegoo only hopes that Nuffle hasn't used all of his dice-help in the one game. Bring on the playoffs!

Skaven favourites Chemical Waste have topped Group Begga, with amazons Zon Baron coming in second on TD difference. We are essentially waiting on the tight-as-you-like Group Skiva now before we can launch headlong into the quater-finals, with some great matches on the cards.

Herr Loonus is very pleased!

The Paupers Of Death have qualified from Group Skiva after lucking out against Gios Chaos. The Paupers were so lucky in this match that at one point Mighty Grimm, a mummy, caught the ball!!
Coalscuttle Chris nicked another two TD's to become the highest scorer in the competition so far, and the group will go right down to the wire as Gorgeous George and his Band and Telluride Terrors play each other in the last game. Two teams, one qualifying place - it's going to be messy....

Paupers Of Death have won group Skiva, with Telluride Terrors hot on their heels after winning against Gorgeous George in the final group game.

That means the quater finals look like this*:

(skaven) Chemical Waste Vs Big Bad Beerdrinkers (norse)

(orc) Green Grin Vs Zon Baron (amazon)

(undead) Paupers Of Death Vs Rangateer Puffins (chaos)

(skaven) Ben Vs Telluride Terrors (necromantic)

*The games were worked out "a bit like the world cup" as follows -
W=Winners R=Runners up.
W Begga V R Giro, W Giro Vs R Begga, W Scrubba V R Skiva,
W Skiva V R Scrubba.
This ensures that all group winners play group runners up, and that there is no chance of meeting a team you played in the group stages again until the final.

Herr Loonus Von Pennypincha's pick of the quaterfinals:

Vs
Chemical Waste Vs Big Bad Beerdrinkers

What a matchup this promises to be, and one that should make me a fair few quid if I can sell the TV rights to Skai Sport (they haven't got back to me yet...). Chemical reaction are some peoples favourites to go all the way in this Cupp, but here they will face what may be their toughest test of the whole tournament. BBB would have won group Giro had it not been for TD difference and in catcher Beer Runner have a player who scored more SSPs than anyone else in the group stages and was the first round's joint second top scorer.

Chemical Reaction's touchdown are more spread throughout the team, with their 8 TDs in the first round coming from 7 different players, proving that they don't rely on any single player to do the business for them. And with a new Rat Ogre in tow they will have a big boost in the bashy department too.

They'll need it. The Beerdrinkers have a Cas Dif of 8 in the opening games (12 overall), and must fancy thier chances of hammering the Chemicals into the ground. All in all this is sure to be a classic, and could even come down to who recieves kick off. My gore-loving heart says the Beerdrinkers, but my wallet says Chemical Reaction.

Game on!

I did actually receive an offer from HBO (the Hardupp Broadcasting Orcs) for the rights to the game, but they are too poor to buy cameras. The coverage would have consisted of a Goblin presenter giving score updates every 3 turns, the gaps filled in with highlights of "Cooking with Morg'N'Thorg".

So I said no on your behalf Herr Loonus. Very Happy

The BBB reached the semi-finals. In a really hard match they won against hard fighting Skaven 2:0. It was a hard match for the skaven because at the end 5 of their players stayed in the KO box and only 2 players entered the pit for the last kick off. Thanks to a nice and friendly opponent, hope to see you again in the next cup season.

The Waste went into the quarter finals brimming with confidence, for coach Purplegoo bought some nice (cheap) AcmeSuperArmour (TM) for each of his precious rats.

Turns out the cheapness of the armour meant that the spikes were on the inside rather than outside where they would be useful, so the Norse blocking was helped somewhat!

11 Skaven took to the field today, to suffer 9 Ko's, 2 BH, 1 SI (-Ma) to a claw Storm Vermin and 2 RIP's (one apo'd), the important one to our ag5 blodge Gutter star.

One of those games! Decided by the first few dice rolled to be honest. We'll be back! Good luck to the Norse, I hope they go all the way.

Paupers Of Death are the second team to qualify for the semis after finally triumphing over the Rangateer Puffins in a game that had twice been abandoned the day before [turns out the Pauper's manager Grimes hadn't actually got permission to use the pitch they were on, and when an angry team of ogres turned up for training a quick exit was required..)

In the end, a freak spell of Paupers blocking (and some gratuitus crowd-pushing that eventually left 4 puffins badly hurt and one niggled) decided the game. But the Paupers are yet to prove themselves against another high TR team - the critics suspect that their bones and heads may be as empty as their wallets...

The BBB smashed the team Ben in the semi-final 3:0. In a hard bloody match they were the winners and are now in the final. Now they are looking for their next opponent. Thanks to Blockbuster who is a friendly coach. Hope to see him again on the field.

After being knocked out in the group stages without a single win, the "Blue Skins" decided they should realy learn to play Blood Bowl before entering another cup.
There next two games can only be described as a sucsses with 2 wins from 2 games.

Now the "Blue Skins" wait in the wings for the second Hardupp Cupp, with there nice shiny new Kroxy!
