For fluff I think ag4 st 1 halflings should be youngsters. They haven't grown fat and slow yet hence the agility and lack of strength. |

Revisit!
0-16 Halfling 30k
0-2 Halfling Burglar: 6 2 3 6 Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Nerves of Steel, Strip Ball A 55k
0-2 Halfling Urchin: 6 1 4 6 Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Catch A 60k
0-2 Halfling Hero: 6 2 3 7 Dodge, Right Stuff, Nerves of Steel, Pro GAP 80k
0-2 Ogre 135k
60k TRR?
Alternative to Ogre, but with 50k TRRs
0-2 Halfling Blocker: 4 3 2 8 Dauntless, Dodge, Stunty S 60k
Burglar is a Bilbo Baggins type with a hooded cloak
Urchin is a scruffy young kid with a schoolboy cap, a little shorter and notably skinnier than the others (Snotling-size or a tad taller)
Blitzer is a big, tough, armored Halfling.
Stars:
Lorebass, Shadow, Puck & Big Pudwick, Slabb, Cusimano, and one new guy. I like the idea of a Halfling Ranger type. 5 2 3 6 Loner, Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Shadowing, Stab, and maybe something fun to combo with it. He needs to be cheap, though. |

I liked your first one better. using the heroes as passers, while cool and versatile, won't really happen. Also I think a skill other than NOS on the burgulars would work better, maybe shadowing. |

I quite like this roster. It has a very unique feel to it and represents an 'established' group of players very well. The Superstar is really an 'outside the box' concept, but I like it.
If I were to suggest a change it would be to drop the Veteran's MA to 6 and delete Decay. As is he's just too fast and too fragile. The NOS skill seems a bit useless to start, but with some additional skills or statups it could get interesting. |

@Jackassrampant & gudamor
Decay (or niggle) on veterans is an interesting idea, it would be interesting for BloodBowl as a whole.
A burglar or thief with strip ball, is a great idea.
Other than that I think both of your lists are over described, with no real reasoning for them to have those stats or skills.
the Urchin in particular, is a set of skills that is balanced rather than a believable character. |

The Urchin is a scruffy young street punk. One day he'll grow into a respectable Halfling, or at least into a Hero. Until then, he's just a kid. Catch is 'cause he picks pockets.
All the NOS is in honor of Puggy, and because NOS is a good skill for "pro" players and also for StuntyLeeg. I don't think NOS and P access on the Heroes will turn them into ballers rather than hunters, but maybe one and one for some coaches. |

So when he grows up, he loses a point of MA and agility? Is that realistic? The Strip Ball I think is authentic, however catch/pick pocketing I don't see (personally). |

How would you change the skills/statline better fit the fluff I posted? |

1) No, he loses a point of Agility, no MA change. He's a positional in training.
2) Catch isn't necessary. 55k?
3) Strip is for Burglars. Mechanically it's silly on ST1 without G access.
Alternative idea, give them Nerves and Titchy, at AG3. That would leave 6 NoS players, and might tempt some to make baller Heroes, or at least to have one diverge that way after Block and Tackle.
Take 3:
0-16 Halfling 30k
0-2 Halfling Urchin: 6 1 3 6 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Right Stuff, Stunty, Titchy A 40k
0-2 Halfling Burglar: 6 2 3 6 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Right Stuff, Strip Ball, Stunty A 55k
0-2 Halfling Hero: 6 2 3 7 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Pro, Right Stuff GAP 80k
0-2 Ogre 135k
60k TRR
Alternate
0-16 Halfling 30k
0-2 Halfling Urchin: 6 1 3 6 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Right Stuff, Stunty, Titchy A 40k
0-2 Halfling Burglar: 6 2 3 6 Dodge, Right Stuff, Shadowing, Strip Ball, Stunty A 50k
0-2 Halfling Thrower: 5 2 3 6 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Right Stuff, Sure Hands AP 55k
0-2 Halfling Blocker: 5 2 3 7 Dauntless, Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff AS 60k
0-2 Halfling Hero: 6 2 3 7 Dodge, Nerves of Steel, Pro, Right Stuff GA 75k
50k TRR
I like the top one better, still.... |

Because the Iron Man skill no longer exists.
To become a Halfling 'Superstar' worthy of the Fan Favorite skill, you have to be extraordinarily skilled and lucky. The AV10 represents that (at least, I think thats what Gudamor was aiming for).
Now, take away the Fan Favorite schtick, and it no longer makes a lick of sense. |
