*****2013 TOP25 RANKINGS UPDATE*****
2013 TOP 25 RANKINGS. List updated as to 2nd Dec 2013. This includes Fumble Cup after semifinals. Ranking based on results in any OFFICIAL FUMBBLE TOURNAMENT during 2013 (box or Ranked).
POINT ALLOCATION SYSTEM
1. I took same point sequence as the ATP uses for its MAJOR Tournaments. This is: 10-45-90-180-360-720-1200-2000
2. I match this sequence to number of wins that any coach had in any given official FUMBBL Tournament throughout 2013. As i only keep track of teams winning at least 2 games in a given tournament, this works out like this: 2w-10 points//3w-45 points//4w-90 points//5w-180 points//6w-360 points//7w-720 points//8w-1200 points//9w-2000 points
3. I allocate a fix 10 point bonus to any team that gets 2 wins or more in a Major tournament (Stunty Majors included)
4. I allocate a fix bonus to teams winning a title. It goes like that: 2 Rnd title=5 pts//3 Rnd title=9 pts//
4 Rnd title=18 pts//5 Rnd title=36 pts//6 Rnd title=36 pts//7 Rnd title=36 pts//8 Rnd title=36 pts// 9 Rnd title=30 pts.

DrDeath after match comments "So the dust has settled... well what a Final that was! Real end-to-end stuff from start to finish and lots of big plays... 6-5 in OT?! Congratulations to Cyric and the Black Plague on their victory. The Ruffians rats are pretty gutted, they came very close (as I make it, after our final turn in normal time we had a ~63.5% chance to win it - assuming whoever won a coin toss would win. Hardly overwhelming odds, but all the same, ouch).
Btw if anybody wants that referee for a future game we still have his skull, a femur and a few ribs. The skull rattles and tinkles a bit when you shake it, sounds like there's something inside ... I think it might be a coin
As some consolation it was a privilege to play in such a memorable Final, of course I'm biased but I'd imagine that was quite a good one to watch? Hope you all enjoyed it, and see you at the next Major! The Ruffians will be back, they're practising harder than ever with their new rattly ball..." |

POINT ALLOCATION SYSTEM
1. I took same point sequence as the ATP uses for its MAJOR Tournaments. This is: 10-45-90-180-360-720-1200-2000
2. I match this sequence to number of wins that any coach had in any given official FUMBBL Tournament throughout 2013. As i only keep track of teams winning at least 2 games in a given tournament, this works out like this: 2w-10 points//3w-45 points//4w-90 points//5w-180 points//6w-360 points//7w-720 points//8w-1200 points//9w-2000 points
3. I allocate a fix 10 point bonus to any team that gets 2 wins or more in a Major tournament (Stunty Majors included)
4. I allocate a fix bonus to teams winning a title. It goes like that: 2 Rnd title=5 pts//3 Rnd title=9 pts//
4 Rnd title=18 pts//5 Rnd title=36 pts//6 Rnd title=36 pts//7 Rnd title=36 pts//8 Rnd title=36 pts// 9 Rnd title=30 pts.

HOW TO READ THIS:
example. WoC 360(w) means
WoC = tournament
360 = points allocated excluding bonus. You can easily work out number of wins.
(w) = won the tournament

May I ask why FC worth only 1200 points? What else if not the FC to worth 2000 points?

Hi all,
After a month heavily advertising this Rankings, it is time to reduce the workload and establish the basic rules on how this thread will work from now on:
1. Tournament updates will happen ONCE A WEEK. I will publish them between SUNDAY night and MONDAY night.
2. After a MAJOR, i will publish a MAJOR SPECIAL.
3. At the end of the year, i will publish the COMPLETE RANKINGS of the year. Trophies will be available for teams and coaches.
I might introduce some changes for the 2014 RANKINGS. One idea i am considering is to keep 2013 MAJOR TOURNAMENT points, so coaches and teams will start the 2014 year with those points. The same way that ATP does, coaches/teams will have to defend these points. This means that once a MAJOR is played a coach will lose the points achived in 2013 in that major and will be replaced by the ones achieved in 2014.
