Garion, I was told to complain to you!

The basic pitch has the widezone lines extending into the endzones. This results in long team names (such as your Animosity Turn Overs) being cut off by the widezone lines.

The image needs to be adjusted to not have the widezone lines extending into the endzone. Just saying.. Smile

Ok guys. Please excuse the back-and-forth (which is why we're having a Beta).

I have restarted the server and reset any games played so far. The main reason for the current problems has been the server running in test mode - which allowed to switch pitches via chatcommand. This is nice to check how a pitch looks but creates problems in an ongoing game with spectators. This won't happen in a "normal" game, where a custom pitch is defined from the start of the game.

As we have enabled uploads now the test commands (which can influence rolls or stats) aren't allowed either. So I've switched that off.

I hope you can play some proper games now.

also worth stating here - Kalimar has fixed things so those of us on Java6 can now play the new client.

Great news for us with crappy computers Smile

Just a new runner you noticed with DE? I am guessing they were the away team.

Well I downgraded to java 5 as that was the java that javabowl was based on. Probably I downgraded too far. However I remember some issues with java 6. A kind of screeching noise and really slow play. i think it was the middling updates.

The current (soon to be old) FFB client is Java 5 or higher. This new update will be Java 6 or higher.

I really recommend everyone to use the latest possible version of Java because of the numerous historical security issues in the past.

Well I am using 5 and the client stopped working for me around 2 weeks ago. It's not a problem. I tried to spectate and it's still not working for me. However the Mac guys are on 6 or above, so all is good.

I realise the security issues so to run java I have to confirm all plug ins. Which is pretty good as I don't get a lot of pointless flash and java advertising.

Care to elaborate? I'd like to check out the new icons without having to spec a match of every race in hopes of noticing them.

http://fumbbl.com/FFBClient/

download ./test/FantasyFootballResources.jar which is in fact a ZIP file. Rename, unpack, discover.
