Almost..but there was an article written in, perhaps, The best of GLN, or something, wherein he is being interviewed.... I can never seem to find it...
I think it was Wuhan...though it could have been another fouling coach... |

There's this article. And issue 12 has an interview with Manbush which isn't purely about fouling, but does spend a bit of time on it. |

So yes I think SG is not worth it in regards of other skill choices. |
But you're ignoring the game and only looking at the raw numbers, and BB is always more than that.
If all the player has is [A] choices, SG might be the best option (depending what other skills are already on the team/that player). If it bothers the opponent, makes them double-think their game plan, maybe draws a blitz or three that saves players with "useful" skills, and occasionally sends an opponent off "for free", then it's completely worth 20k.

Yeah math is just confusing and stupid and stuff. |

It's just too bad that SG/DP is usually a 50pt investment, and SG doesn't do anything when a foul works.
SG's being sent to the KO box is a great house rule though! |

I would almost kill to play in a league with these rules for SG.
I would like to have some sneaky DP on dash teams.
Every time you score you get a chance to win foulers back. It is like a loner TRR bribe.
Maybe the CRaP rules where designed to not have dash teams foul FTW. So bashy teams can rule by POMB sadly they missed the effectiveness of CPOMB in the process.
I am really sorry for the stunty teams. They could have a break from fouling odds. They do support a deep bench.
I'll stop dreaming out loud about a new edition of rules. Who does decide on this at GW? Is it Jervis? I would like to know.
But I guess that's what Blood Bowl 3 can be all about.
Ok, OK. I'll stop high jacking this thread.

Which rules do you want?
O[L]C has:
House Rules.
1. Fouling +1 to armour roll.
2. Claw does not stack with other skills that modify armour rolls.
3. Piling On allows coach to reroll injury only.
4. Right Stuff prevents the Tackle skill when blocked.
5. Sneaky Git functions like Guard on foul assists.
6. Banned sneaky git players are sent to the KO box instead. |

What? Of course it is. It's a lot smaller than Ranked so it's hard to get games…. |

Apples and orangutans.
OLC is a League, in the "[L]eague" division.
"[R]anked" is a separate division of FUMBBL, along with [B]ox or [L]eague or [S]tunty. When you create a new team, you decide which Division they will play in - and cannot change after that.
All [L]eague teams are in privately run Leagues (even if they are "open to the public"). Each League has their own rating/champion system, but there is no site-supported rating system (b/c each League can have diff rules). |

Maybe I missunderstood what this meant: "The O[L]C Free For All is an open round robin event that runs for just over three weeks."
Round robin means you need to play scheduled right? So you can't just pop on and grab a game with any ol' team? |

Open round robin is different, means you can play each team once per Free For All. |

RR is not ORR. RR is scheduled, ORR (usually) has a time limit but you can play anyone on the list once during that time in any order.
Either way, Ranked is not a league, perpetual (whatever you meant by that) or otherwise.
Now... back on topic?... |

Well, thanks for the tip off that people may not know what "open round robin" means.
I've made "Play any team in your division in any order at any time before the deadline. Schedule games in advance if you find that easier." more prominent.
It is "perpetual" in that you do not need to start with a brand new team. When a league ends your team can continue on to the next one. You can use the same team or a different one. You can use a team that was previously in a different league. |
