Despite my rather vested interest in the Paupers [having backed them in hard cash at the beginning of the Cupp], even I can't help but get a little hot under the collar at the prospect of this matchupp. Who will win? who can tell? Although the BBB must be favourites after a much more impressive run of results to the final. One thing IS certain - there will be blood. Oh, there will be SO MUCH BLOOD! I can't wait. The Beerdrinkers alone have caused <b>19</b> casualties in five games, and The Paupers <b>17</b> !
They also have the two highest scorers in the competition... <b>Coalscuttle Chris</b> currently tops the Hardupp score table with 6 for the Paupers, while The BBB's <b>Beer Runner</b> is right behind him on 5. whatever happens, it's bound to be a great match - be there! |

The <b>Paupers Of Death</b> have become the firt Hardupp Cupp Champions!
In a super-tough and bloodthirsty game they overcame Norsemen <b>Big Bad Beerdrinkers</b> in extra-time, with the competition's top scorer Coalscuttle Cris bagging the eventual winner after 22 turns.
In a game that saw 11 casualties it was the Paupers who proved the toughest in the end, but only after the Beerdrinkers had seen their top scorer <b>Beer Catcher</b> knocked down just <b>inches</b> away from scoring at the end of the normal time.
