Was probably changed due to it's ryming slang connection to lucky ***** but I was never actualy given an explanation it was just changed one day |

'Elfeelythighs' was one of my favourite player names. Tight End Elves was the name of the team. |

Horse racing names are funny... but I've never jelled with them because as funny as they are, the player names typically aren't as funny (and I'm just not clever in that way).
My two favorite of my own "Sports Team Names" will always be the retired Buffalo Billy Goats Gruff:Chaos and my current NBFL squad, the Carolina Black Panther Party:Pro Elves. |

I'm not the only coach ever to have had a wood elf team called Sporting Wood, I'm sure. I had one in '95 or so, but it looks like someone on FUMBBL got to it by '03, so I'm sure I wasn't the first either. As far as old/essentially public domain elf team names, though, it's hard to beat Callous Drowboys.
As for my newer teams? I don't know... I like Mighty Pileon's Flying Circus. (If I was really committing to it, I'd be trying to score more with TTMs, or at least passing. I'm not really committing to it.) In a similar vein, my new Undead team Wight Stripes. My Norse team Beat Claw Play AV7 is kind of meta, and I'm not thrilled with that usually, but I like it. I also like to give deliberately obtuse names to deliberately obtuse teams, such as Bob Seger Ogre System and the halfling team Fat Guys Who Ate Too Much Cake.
I realize the question wasn't "which of your team names do you like?" But here we are. I'm kind of a narcissist. |
