yeah.... Mo'real kinda dropped the ball last game... Quebec's play was superb and clearly they trained their asses off in preparation not making any noticable errors on the pitch and playing a well rounded & solid game of Blood Bowl. timely pressures and fouls, smooth ball handling proved to be just enough to beat their rivals who showed up with a bit too much swagger in their step... let's say cocky even.
the lesson learnt here is dont play too soon between weeks. the Als were clearly still hungover from their usual post game drunk fest having beaten the Gophers the night before. formal complaints will be made to the league's front office for scheduling a double header for the Als who must have been aware of their excessive Guy Lafleuresque post game party habits.

not thinking much of this match up, and basically planning for a nap instead of the heated rivalry attitude their foes showed up with, the Als' suffered a huge wake up call and will be out for some sweet sweet revenge in two week's time.

gratz latu! you played a hell of a match
the rivalry is just beginning Wink

POTW 11 vote : Mike Pringle, yes, again, Mikey simply notched an impressive amount of SPP's and managed to skilled up on time to meet their rivals. I really wonder what Mo'Real would be without him...

Week 12: Pringle plays 6 turns, no SPP's and strangely, Mo'real loses!

JP, let me start thinking it's a good point for my theory Twisted Evil

oh ho ho! don't go there boy-o! nmm mmm, snap snap

the lack of Pringle had nothing to do with the loss. game could have gone either way on many occations. I didnt get the little breaks that can make a big difference. although, maybe that's what makes a player famous... he gets those rolls, while others RR all they want never quite get the job done.

round 3's gona be a whole different ball game! got some surprises in store for you & your gang of cake eaters!

After careful examination, Bones is now ready to make the following prediction.

Eastern Division
MTL, after betting the bye, will face the winner of the TOR vs HAM game. While TOR doesn't have the best record against the Hamilton boys, Bones thinks TOR will take it.

In the MTL vs TOR divisional championship game, a close battle will leave Montreal on top, robbing Toronto of another chance at the cup.

Halifax will lose to Waterloo in the first round of the Ladle Cup.

Western Division
BC will face Edmonton in a extremely hard fought match with BC coming out on top. Unfortunately, Ottawa who will finish first in the west will be nice and rested. While BC does have a good chance at beating the Ottawa crew, Bones feels Ottawa with their long, rested bench will take the game.

The Ladle in the West is a very tough call. The first round will be between Winnipeg and Calgary but no clear winner can be predicted here due to Calgary's inability to win games and fragile nature in prolonged matches. So, the favorite will be WIN.

FINALS
Montreal will face Ottawa in the Season II Grey Cup. If there are no oddities in this game, Montreal should win this game easily.

Halifax will face Calgary in the Ladle Bowl and surprisingly avoid the spoon for another year.

As per Bones!

BC 1-1 Sask

https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3259794

A hard fought game where the blockers were pansies on both sides, but the fouls were brutal. A ref was eventually discovered in the second half of the game, but not before fouls permed Janessa (regen failed), the +st Sask player and RIP'd (apothed to mng) BC's would-be star MBPO, Azar.

Expect more pain and blood next week when BC faces Toronto without Azar around to provide the heavy hitting...

Stats & standings updated. Switched the Draw/Loss columns too.

Tough night for the stat freaks and stars. Celluci and Janessa get -AV, BC lose a Blodging guard and Azar out for the TO game.

CFFL Week 12 Action: Winnipeg Claw Bombers vs Halifax Hrungirs pre-game analysis

Hitting: Winnipeg has the strength, now they have some skills, but still missing any tackle. The Halifax blodgers and dodgers will Ole' the charging beasts but will be challenged to push the Bombers around. Gonna be a classic bash vs elfball match-up with Winnipeg struggling to get their greasy paws on the elusive elves and Halifax going for the surgical strikes.
Advantage: Winnipeg

Handling: Duane is the unsung hero of the Halifax side, cartwheeling through offenses to smack down the ball carrier or shovel pass the ball to an open runner. Winnipeg's fumbles have often come at awkward moments, they will need to have plenty of backup for the ball carrier to prevent Halifax capitalizing.
Advantage: Halifax

Speed: Halifax has the speed and mobility advantage. Any mistakes by the Bombers could prove costly.
Advantage: Halifax

Depth: Winnipeg's bench has been trimmed by death and niggling injuries. Halifax has been free-booting journeymen for most of the season. Both teams will run with an 11 man bench with not enough TV between them to bring in any wizards or stars. Winnipeg has the durability of better armor and plentiful block, Halifax has the speed and ability to score shorthanded.
Advantage: Draw

X-Factor: Last time these teams met the Bombers earned a tie with disciplined play and the grace of Nuffle. Both teams are at the bottom of their divisions and desperately need a win to secure any chance of a playoff spot. The Hrungirs will have bloodweiser babes in their dugout, a slim advantage at best. Stay tuned sports fans this could be a preview of the season 2 Wooden Ladle match-up.
Advantage: None, but the Winnipeg ownership made an irrefutable offer to favor the Bombers

Ottawa vs. Edmonton in the second game of the home and away series is set to go at 8pm MST/10 EST/3AM NFLD on Wednesday.

Ottawa is looking for a repeat performance of last game. Hit, hit, and kick the the Norse into submission and wander in a few TDs. They are also looking to tighten up the play book and avoid the sloppy mistakes they made last week.

Orconaughts 1-0 Tiger Pact

Hamilton's big guys weren't on their game- allowing the Os to grab a victory. Chief culprit has to be troll Ed George who failed at least 5 RS rolls over the 16 turns. Orc armour held up well to sustained assault- with the exception of the Binky the Troll who failed to regenerate his collar bone at the end of the first half.

POTW Nomination- Snaggi kickboots. The iron goblin took 4 AV rolls without breaking and was responsible for turning over the hamilton possention by standing next to the ball carrier and inducing two 1/9 blocks in quick succession. He unselfishly handed the ball for rookie lino Peon to skill... but he dropped it.

Rottawa 0 - 1 Dumpsville

Rottawa went into Edmonton looking to take sole possession of first in the West and stunk up the stadium. Things started well with some early casualties, but poor Rottawa coaching coupled with Norse dodgery and heavy second half casualties brought it all crashing down. Was fun and frustrating at the same time, though the meeting for coach WhatBall with team principals today is set to be very painful.

Rottawa lost, so no POW nominations. We also withdraw any PotMonth nominations in an effort to try and smarten up our players after that poor display.

WIN vs HFX is hoping to be played tonight at about 10pmEST.

HFX is hoping to keep the underdog trend of this week going with a upset victory...highly unlikely but hey...you never know...(Well you do to the tune of about 77%)...

Such a tight game, was fun to play (even though I've developed a dislike for my Norse).

POTW nomination: Rik the kicker. 1 Cas (on a werewolf), 1 TD + the MVP. For those keeping track, that's his 5th MVP this season... :/

Rik is also the only Norse player to have played in every single game in the history of the franchise.

That's pretty impressive. I still have four of my original eleven amazons remaining, but none of them have played every game.
