Hello fellow fans of the FUMBBL major scene!
As a little special, we want to bring to FUMBBL-BET (TM), a new and still a little experimental betting system, for all of you who enjoy watching the majors.
Here is how it works:
Every participating coach gets 200 FUMBBL gold - which is special with regard to it`s real life value (close to nill) - to start with. You can then bet on the outcome of a match in the LC main event, placing at least 10 gold on a team. Should your chosen team advance, you get your stake plus winnings, else the gold you placed is gone.
There won`t really be a bookie or a moneyline, but we use the system of parimutuel betting or tote betting, where the gold from the losing side is split among the winners proportional to their bet.
Example or an orcs vs elves game:
Bets on the orcs:
Coach A - 70 gold
Coach B - 30 gold
Coach C - 60 gold
Total: 160 gold
Bets on the elves:
Coach D - 30 gold
Coach E - 70 gold
Coach F - 20 gold
Total: 120 gold
The elves advance, so the 160 gold are split among the winners. 160 divided by 120 is 1.33, that means for every gold wagered, the winners get 1.33 gold on top of their stake. D wins 40 gold, E wins 93 gold, F wins 26 gold - and I keep the rounded fractions in order to become rich!
In order to ensure bets on every game, the bank will bet the minimum amount on every team and you can place the bets in the official betting thread that will be started later.
Participants:
As this is the first time, we are trying this, we are limiting the participants to 30. The current balance can be checked in this thread in the opening post.

I think it would actually be pretty cool to be able to do this. By having a team with 10,532 gold instead of just a boring multiple of 5k, you can prove your expertise at fake betting on fake sports!  |

Maybe.. maybe.. if the betting gets popular enough, you can make a petition

Oh... right.. I forgot.. no betting on games where you are involved yourself and for general purposes, the deadlines for betting is 2 hours before the match is reported. |
