After suffering yet another game with my gnomes where their inability to throw a bomb cost me dearly i thought to myself 'why do i suffer a turnover if a fumble the bomb
Checking the rules for a turnover it is not listed, they only one that comes close is :-2. player on the moving team is knocked down or falls over.
Now if i fumble the bomb and remain standing surely it shouldn't be a turnover, the passing rules for turnovers can't count as they state the ball must be caught etc by a player on the moving team, which obviously i don't want to happen.
So my question is should a coach suffer a turnover if one of his players fumble a bomb, and he and any of his team mates are not hit by the blast?
and if so explain why. |

Well, if fumbling (and killing) a player using the throw team mate skill doesn't even cause a turnover anymore, a fumbled harmless bomb sure shouldn't either. Only fair, right? |

yes it is a turn over!
look at the throw team mate for example... if you fail it it s not a turn over (assuming the living bullet hasn t the ball) but if you fumble it, it s a turn over!!
In general case... every fumble is a turn over. But i sympathise with you... throwing a bomb is hard, need to lit it and need to throw it. 2 occasions to make a turn over.... |

Good Point, now to form an angry mob and storm somewhere and complain to someone 'loudly'. |

Ash with the new rules a fumbled TTM is not a turnover anymore, unless the player had the ball |

Implementing the rule like this would surely make the gnomes stronger, but I'm not sure about its compliance with the LRB. Perhaps that should be checked first . I do, hovever think that if anyone on the moving team falls - then it is a turnover. |

freak, where have you seen that? a fumble on landing is not a turn over but a fumble on the throw is still a fumble. According to LRB, throwing a teammate is just like throwing the ball except for the range. |

The LRB says that throwing a bomb uses the same rules as throwing the ball - ie. it can be interecepted and fumbled and is affected by foul appearance and weather conditions. Throw team mate is a special skill that uses the pass action but not the pass rules (ignores FA, very sunny weather etc.)
A fumbled pass is a always turnover, so I assume that is where it is from. |
